Diana! You must have heard of haggis, everyone in the free world has heard of haggis.

It's a traditional Scottish dish made from a  pigs intestine stuffed with minced sheep's liver, heart and lungs mixed with oatmeal, onion, suet, sugar, salt, stock and then boiled.

Wait, I just looked it up on the net, and it looks like they use sheep's stomach and not pigs intestines. My bad!

I have never seen a haggis fly. Do you pluck it before eating it? And do you have to learn how to play the bagpipes so you can pipe it in. I should think it's a bit dificult to eat haggis while playing the bagpipes.

It's even more difficult to play the haggis whilst eating the bagpipes, trust me!!

On a more serious note, although the description Sue gives makes it sound awful, it's actually very, very delicious. Mc.Sweeneys are the nicest, but I couldn't find one of those, so instead I bought two Halls haggis. Apparently, they're the 'worlds' favourite'!! I spelt apparently 3 times then, and every one of them looked correct...........a word used often and difficult to spell correctly Peter.

Andy, I love haggis almost as much as black pudding!

I love a little black or blood pudding, as it was called in our house, fried up and salted for breakfast.

Black pudding is like a very thick sausage made with blood and a filler that is cooked up until the blood congeals. I always wondered what the big white bits were in the pudding, it didn't look like suet, but I'm sure it was some kind of fat.

And now to get onto track, I saw a Nashville Warblers in our tree last evening. Nashville is thousands of miles away, wonder what it's doing here? I took a couple of pictures, most of which are of it's butt, as it wasn't going to stay still for half a second. But I did get a few good shots.
