LOL @ Peter and Andy! Laughing  Sheep's stomach or pig intestines it sounds revoltingFrown

The only thing I can think of that we have in the US that is just as disgusting is a dish produced in the Deep South called chitlins.  Chitterlings is the more formal name, but most people call them chitlins. I've never had them...can't get close enough, the smell of them cooking is so fetid that they must be prepared out-doors. Chitlins are pig intestines.  They cook them up with pig stomach, water, salt, red pepper, and onion.  It is absolutely foul. (If I had a green face I'd put it here!) LOL!

My mother-in-law cooks up tripe, and when she does I can't even stand to be in the house, it's cows stomach, and just as gross as chitterlings (here is the face you want, Diana)  .

And now back to the birds in our gardens. The Robins wake up at 3:55 here in desert Nevada, talk about early birds catching the worms (oh no, not gross food again).

I am so looking forward to hearing the dawn chorus again, as the only chorus we get is one or two individual birds.

Not a morning person I presume, Lyn. I on the other hand like to get up around five, especially when it's light. I have been bird watching at five in the morning too, a bit extreme, but well, that's me.

Actually, after the initial morning chorus, the birds go very quiet, so if you can just handle it for a while, you can go back to sleep too.
