And what you said, Peter, I think is the experience of a lot of people. That's why I mentioned from the start that it's not about religion. My experience is that prayer helps me tremendously in everything - the good and the bad. I once heard a speaker who said that the difference between religion and spirituality is like the difference between coffee and the cup. Spirituality is the coffee and religion is the cup. And too many people are walking around with an empty cup. |

Lyn & Peter you are both great people who are some of the first to welcome new people, joke and cheer people up and comfort people who are sad so that's most important - being considerate towards your fellow human beings and the earth's creatures. |

He has helped me through many dark waters and in the darkest ones I never lost faith in Him. I also thank him too, when out walking, say in the woods and the sun is streaming through the trees, or light catches on the buttercup meadows, for this wondrous beauty that is not necessary for our existence but brings delight to our lives. He is my Rock. |

That is all I will say on the subject. |

What a beautiful way to express it, Sue! Thank you for sharing that. I feel the same way. |

Hi Wolf: Thanks for your thoughts too. The nice thing about prayer is that God can be thanked anytime, anywhere. I don't like to talk about religion either, which is why I stress, religion is only one aspect of prayer and/or faith. A lot of people have found their faith in spite of religion, but others have lost their faith because of religion, and that's unfortunate. I have a lot of faith, and I pray a lot, but I don't like to be called "religious." It's not the same thing. |

So I reckon, yeah I do pray in that sense. When it comes to 'who' I pray to, I don't know!! sounds bad i know, but then who really does. Its a strange thing all religions seem to follow a similar path, so maybe we all pray to the same 'god', whether we're religious, or just talk to our inner self for strength. |
