I would be honest and tell them, it could have been you that did that and may end up having to pay it out of your wages, so yes I would definitely give it back.

Yes, I would give it back. This has happened a number of times to me over the years and I have always returned the money.

You lean that your child's 5th grade teacher is gay and is actively teaching the class about "alternative life styles" do you protest to school administators?

I would protest. That is a subject better left to individuals.

It wouldn't bother me at all that the teacher was 'batting for the other side' as we say here. I don't know about teaching alternative lifestyles. I'm sure they are already doing this in good old England...no wonder the kids are confused. But if it was my child I think I would say something. Each to their own.

Wouldn't bother me either, its all part of the modern way of life, why hide it? How old are they in 5th grade anyway? It's not the same here as it is there.

Whether I approve of the life style or not is not the issue here.  My child IS going to hear about these things, I can not protect him/her from the ways of the world. Therefore, my answer is, as long as what is being taught is for the purpose of educating and promoting tolerance and not as gay pride activist propaganda then I say fine.  I'd rather my child hear it from an informed, unbiased source so that she/he has the facts straight rather than from the streets.

I agree with you, Diana.  Well said.

Lyn, 5th graders are 10-11 years old.

Your sister continues to live at the family homestead and has cared for your parents in their old age. Your parents die and your sister inherits everything. Do you contest the will?
