Nothing wrong with that, is there? We need to be reminded sometimes, at least I know I do.

The "Ten Things You Love" thread inspired me to post it today. I praise thee for the life that stirs within me; I praise thee for the bright and beautiful world into which I go; I praise thee for the earth and sea and sky, for scudding cloud and singing bird; I praise thee for the work thou has given me to do; I praise thee for all thou has given me to fill my leisure hours; I praise thee for my friends; I praise thee for music and books and good company and all pure pleasures. I think this is a great prayer and seems appropriate to what everybody expressed in that thread.

There are a million wonderful prayers, but when I post one here I try and keep it appropriate to our discussions. When I give thanks to God for blessings received, it reminds me of what I once heard described as hell for an atheist. It's being out in nature and having your breath taken away by a beautiful sunrise, or a mountain vista, or the song waves on a beach, or a meadow of spring flowers, or a quick glimpse of wildlife - and not having anybody to thank.
