I have rescued snakes, mice, birds and even picked up dead cats of the side of the road and gave them a proper burial. Just yesterday I braked for a squirrel. I have had horses follow me like the horse whisperer. The animals have more senses sometimes I think than we do. Sometimes i think I can feel their soul. |

I've actually closed my eyes as I've run over birds (and a squirrel once), because it would have been dangerous to have braked or served. And I'll never forget the man who lost both of his arms as he swerved for a rabbit into the path of a truck. |
