But do you ever wonder, WHY am I attracted to birds and not horses? What are the mechanics in that attraction? I guess I am just fascinated by what makes humans tick. LOL!

I love all animals but esp. dogs and cats, even big cats. I have rescued snakes, mice, birds and even picked up dead cats of the side of the road and gave them a proper burial. Just yesterday I braked for a squirrel. I have had horses follow me like the horse whisperer. The animals have more senses sometimes I think than we do. Sometimes i think I can feel their soul.

It is so automatic to break for something that is in the road, but unless it is totally clear behind and in front, we should try to not break and definitely NOT swerve for animals in the road.

I've actually closed my eyes as I've run over birds (and a squirrel once), because it would have been dangerous to have braked or served. And I'll never forget the man who lost both of his arms as he swerved for a rabbit into the path of a truck.
