What Draws Us to the Animals We Love?

Sue, that's a horrible story, and there are probably plenty more like them than we know. You are right about teaching yourself not to break and swerve at the drop of a hat, but it's such a reflex that I often catch myself doing it without even thinking!

I would be devastated if I killed someone's pet dog or cat but it would be infinitely worse to accidentally kill another human being while trying to avoid hitting an animal.

So is killing a human worse than killing an animal? and why??  don't worry, i'm not judging, just interested in peoples opinions!

I won't even kill spiders or bugs even though I can't stand them. 

Ahh but thats a relative, and yes thats human instinct for a relative, what if it was the scruffy looking alcoholic, that robs people for a 'living', and say a horse

Would the choice be easier?? would you feel better about it? and if God created everything, why are some things regarded as special and others not quite as important? why do we think humans are the most important??
