Wow Sue that is long. Hope you don't have to go that far too often.

My son has to see the Doctor in Reno once a month, that's a two and a half hour drive, so five hours either way. We usually spend the ten minutes seeing the Doctor, then turn around and come home. It is a long way.

Shopping trips are few and far between, but that's OK.

So plan everything at once huh? I try to do that. Even though things are much closer. If I am going out I might as well get it all done at once.

And there's me moaning about taking half an hour to get to the hospital I have to go to. Anywhere further than a couple of hours  drive is a long way to us lol

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I have to drive for two and a half to three hours to see a specialist, then drive back. Most of the day will be over. This is just crazy in such modern times.Yell

I guess that's the price that we who live in the wide open spaces pay for all that space, Wolf.  That's what I loved about England - they have public transportation down to a science over there.  At least if you have to travel far and can take a train, you can read or sleep or visit with someone.

You've got that right Ruth . I used to love taking the train ( I used to get the train to Scarborough on occasion just to get fish 'n' chips , about two hours journey .  ) .  Mind you I get as much pleasure now from long car trips with the family . My wife and daughters are all three excellant singers and love to sing in the car . Time just flies . We have to take a trip to Hutchinson each month for my eldest's doctors appointment . It's about an hour and 15 mins either way . We love it . Plus we get to goto Hastings ( bookstore ) . The longer the journey the better as far as I'm concerned !

I used to love driving. But now I am getting a bit fed up with it, If I drive to the east coast, thats not too bad but anywhere else and it means going round the M25. I hate it, Its the biggest car park in the world. But if the traffic is moving, its crazy. Nearly all the drivers are lunatics.
