Yes, blister packs are definitely better. I have seen a home closed down because of a serious medication error where a resident was given someone else's controlled drug.

No, I know they shouldn't. and both should sign the sheet in view of the other person too. Unfortunately, these rules get ignored, and that is the sad outcome, in this case a 20 bedded unit, where residents were sent out to different homes in the UK causing huge disruption and danger for staff trying to tell a violent resident that he has to pack up and go in 36 hours.

thats so sad, that had to happen.. over a silly mistake and the residents had to suffer

to those whom wrote me earlier, yes, I'm gearing up for some place to take the whole family close by for the Holidays, if I can...and let that be that something "special" this year, I use to declare "homemade" holidays ever so once in an while...as for Obama, the "mail out" ballots have him at 59 per cent winner so far from those turned in early and the election ballots don't have to be turned in until Nov. 4th. Just thought you'd like to know, they post the daily tally in the newspaper every morning now. I know I'm not the only one having my "woes" these days, the young kids are really taking things hard...an father was arrested last night with his 6 month infant in the university hospital downtown in critical condition for being beat half to death, his father just couldn't take the "pressure" any more I guess...flipped out... we must try to work harder to change things I think. Spread some good cheer about. Its just an array of income styles here. As this guy is getting arrrested...in walks Phil Knight, Nike shoe President and founder...and gives this hospital $100 million dollars. Bet the father would of never done what he did, if someone would of offered even an $1,000 to him to make it through the month. Kind of ironic...but this is the way things are now, and "Bush" didn't help when he gave the "bankers" whom took bad risks and said he'd make everything "OK" ...while we know  he woulnd no more help this young man with the kid if he was "forced to" in ways,..but time to move on with things I guess... but when you hear people asking our Government to "wake up" these are the kinds of issues they are talking about. Enough said.

I doubt $1000 would have stopped him beating up the 6 month old!! probably just brought him more drugs/drink to fuel him up! Sorry Shirley, i'm not getting at you at all, but i've seen this kind of thing quite a few times!

They arested the guy, the little boy died yesterday of neck and spinal injuries, "daddy's"  up for "murder" now. Your probably correct, but there are more people doing bizzar "out of character" things these days, I think it's the "pressure" and I well remember receiving the message from the "other side",(no I don't channel, they just come to me)  some years back that we (globally) were going into an "time era" of self-judgment...people seeing "themselves" tend to make the situation worse sometimes. Kind of sad in ways...but I guess it is for us to experience all things in our soul growth.

Hello Lyn and James

We've had rain here, which as you know is a real blessing. It was a nice steady rain, not the kind that comes in an outburst and floods all an sundry, which often happens.

I hope we get a few more visitors and regulars on POE today, I was kind of lonley yesterdsay.
