Producer Tony Scott. Both he and his brother, Ridley Scott are top class producers/directors.

It was nice to hear that Phyllis Diller paseed away in her sleep. What a way to go, 95, fall asleep and wake up in Heaven. Go Phyllis!

I am sad to hear that Max Bygraves has passed away. Even at the grand age of 89, he was one of the entertainers that I grew up with, so it always saddens me.

And me Sue.

You need hands....a great song that still means something, and above all you could hear what the words were, unlike todays stuff.

Hal is just one of the many unsung heros, who have brough such pleasure to us through their songs, yet we do not know their names because the song is taken over by the celebrity singer.

Fare the well, Hal, and THANK YOU! Some of my favourite songs were written by him.

I remember going to a concert of Max Bygraves when he visited SA. What a super performer and what a nice chap too. RIP Max and may join the heavenly choir and sing for eternity.

Czech-born actor Herbert Lom, aged 95. Having appeared in over 100 films with some of the biggest names in the industry, he is probably most fondly remembered as the long-suffering boss of Peter Seller's Inspector Clouseau in the Pink Panther films.

In the early 50s, he had success on stage playing the King of Siam in the London production of The King and I, the part being made famous of course, by Yul Brynner on Broadway and in the film version.
