All the Dutch fans who have visited South Africa were very impressed and enjoyed about the organization.

So did Spain deserve to win?

Personally, I was hoping the Dutch, umm err, Nederland, umm err The Netherlands, umm err Holland would win. Why is it that we have four shots at naming the runner up Ted?

If you come from Holland you are Dutch. If you use postage stamps they refer to Nederland (and maybe the Netherlands). Why is that, anybody know?

Hi Ron

Officially it is the Netherlands (in English), Nederland (in Dutch). Holland is really a province in the Netherlands (like you have counties). In fact there are two of them, North-Holland et South-Holland. We have 12 provinces. Most people don't really know. Even Dutch people make this mistake. For instance, there a even Dutch people living in the province of Utrecht saying they are from Holland when the are elsewhere on vacation.

About Dutch (language and people of the Netherlands). I did not know where this comes from, but I have been looking on the internet and I found this on Wikipedia :

Thanks Marina. Interesting but edited because part copied material. Thanks to those who contributed.

Well, my personal favourites are History, cycling and delicious foods and drink. But the last two aren't subjects to talk about: you just have to enjoy them
