Hi Rob!!! My trip to England is on hold. I just can't come up with enough money for it. Frown Someday it will happen...someday.

Hi Shirley! I can't wait for the receipe card!! Summer has been great for the girls. Sammie was able to visit Italy, Greece and Colombia then a week at boy scout camp! She just came home yesterday after being gone for more than a month!! Erin is having fun too! She's with her grandma at a huge family reunion this weekend! Summer fun!

Hi, Krissy, Good to see you here. I know how it is with money for a trip. I'm trying to save for next fall, but it's not easy. I keep hearing an ad on a local radio station here that's sponsoring a trip to England and Scotland this October. I would really love to go. It's perfect for me as it includes some time in Liverpool which I've always wanted to visit. (Beatles fan). Only thing is it costs $2900!! Can't do that right now, but sure wish I could. Keeping my fingers crossed for October 2012.

Wait until England sponsors the Olympics....it will be crowded there..but they always have something extra special going also..like fireworks/ceramonies usually....and the garden tours and what not else they can think up to keep visitor's happy and spread out an bit. Keep the crowds more evenly spread out in the city/country and with the restruants. I think already just thinking about it that it would be an very sucesssful event...England is kind of "central" to everyone as an place to travel to.

WEll, Krissy good the kids got an chance to enjoy themslves and bit before school starts again. Maybe won't be so anxious in wanting to go somewhere before Christmas.  We either tend to have the mountains for camping in summer or skiing in winter or the coast for beach coming and in the winter...it can be nice to just sit back in an nice motel that over looks the ocean and read an bit by the fireplace...they most all have indoor swimming pools and lounges and restruants...with Casino's here and there...that have nightly clebrity shows. Salashan has horse rides, or did anyway...there's an ton of little shops to go an see also. We have "Scout Camp" every year...hubby has already went and came back on that also. My neighbor gal was an swimming instructor one year for the little guys when she was in HIgh School...now she's an teacher. She has two little girls.

Krissy! Good to see you here my friend. I see you on Facebook now and again but I am not a big Facebook fan. I go on there just to keep tabs on family but other than that I just don't have the time to be on the computer all the time.

At my old job I was both able and my employers didn't mind us being on the computer for personal use...within reason of course. But that 's not the case in my new job. Now they monitor every site we go to and every phone call we make...every day!

Hello all you POEsters, long time no see.

My wife and I have just returned from a great holiday in the western cape. We were staying with friends in Simonstown which is just around Cape Point from Cape Town.

What a great place and we had a ball! Our friends, dating back to forever, were very hospitable, even allowing us the use of their BMW 325CI for the duration.

We also took a cruise with them up to Namaqualand on the west coast where, every year at this time, the desert is transformed by acres and acres of wild flowers. This year, because of very good rains, the display of flowers was the best in at least 20 years. Of course one cannot visit the cape without visiting a winery and bringing back some good wine.

I hope all of you are well, especially you Ron. Hopefully you have gotton rid of that beastly infection of yours.
