The flowers and other places like Pater Noster are in an area on the west coast which is on the Atlantic seaboard. Why not have a look at it on Google Earth, you'll find it interesting. Table Mountain, which backs Cape Town is a stunning bit of rock and is currently a candidate for the new list list of 7 wonders of the world. The Dassie, which in English is known as a Rock Hyrax, is indeed a cute little critter and believe it or not, its closest relative is the Elephant. Seriously!!! "Dassie" is an Afrikaans word and is pronounced "DAHSEE". The top of Table Mountain, which is where the pictures of the Dassies were taken, is teeming with the little fellows and they are harmless unless interfered with in which case they could inflict a nasty bite. They do not attack people but will defend themselves if threatened. Oh, thanks for the complement about the pictures. Good night. |

You're to be excused for forgetting, there are so many members you cannot remember them all - or maybe its age thing? I hope you have got over your infection now Ron. |

Throat scope to go yet in an attempt to work out why my voicebox is warbling if I speak for too long. Neither Anna or I have got over the pertussis yet. 100 days and some!! The 'age thing' has a lot to do with everything that Anna and I suffer, but we still reckon we are better off than some, so we are grateful for that. |
