Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 06:37 on 14th October 2011 Falling on an Monday this year...the decorations will probably be enjoyed the weekend before..I'm not counting on an lot of trick or treaters..we had very few last year also...no little kids here any more, they up and grew up. even my grandkids its kind of winding down on the outside trick or treating because of their ages.I did their decorations for thier house today though..but kept them pretty simple. I could most likley undecorate in less then 5 mins. I'll take out some hot cocoa, popcorn, cider and fresh apples sometime this weekend. It rained very heavily today and we got blocks and blocks of protestors downtown Portland camping out in the stuff....the police finally moved them by force from blocking main street downtown..but they don't seem to be giving in to leaving...despite ti all. Bankers are acting like blokes also...more the people protest the more they show how childish they can be.... by adding charges to their bank accounts. Obama looked royally peeved when the Senate didn't pass his "creating jobs" bill the other day. That's an step up or two from being mad. Most these banks I never did business with before all this started because I quite frankly didn't see any advantage in doing business with them way back when. When you get an substanial check from the bank...by an insurance company...from totally out your car and they give you an hassle to cash thier own check...it makes you wonder how solvent they really are...and this was YEARS ago they did this...and I knew many of the Vice Presidents and Bank managers back then. some told; me then James to beware of my own husband and credit and the way he conducts business matters also..and that was an close friend that said that.. I caught his eye.when he saw I was having difficulty cashing this check...he came through and he said.."cash her check...I've known her all my life!"....they were scrambling to do it..no hassels at all....they knew he meant business. I asked him then what was the problem they didn't want to honor their own funds...going belly up maybe?....he didnt' say anything..but he told me he was leaving his Bank managing career.....and he'd worked his way from several independent banks to the downtown large skyscraper. He said he was leaving it to work for the US Government in S. E. Asia....and importing /exporting goods and services over there. I often wondered if he'd been caught in the 2004 Sumutra quake in Indonesia...though he was supposedly more to the north. I have always made it an point to know my bankers...something I was taught by the Better Business Buearu..college classes I had many years ago...and you know...they don't do this these days, know their customers personally...one reason there's so much fraud going on. It keeps people honest when they have to look you in the eye.. dealing with your money. Anyway, the protestors had one soggy and wet day out there today. In the meantime I'm understanding from another report up in Port Angelas, Washington state someone walked in and stole one TON of food from the Salvation Army...they had put it in storage for the needy this winter...in the area, from money raised locally...they are howlling angry, I mean they mince no words on how they feel about it...I think if they find out who did it they will probably shoot them on site. While down in Arizona I hear..I think this is the drug cartel...dismatled an 50 foot steel bridge overnight...where it went to the authorities don't know either. Sell for scrape metal maybe..or to make guns???It's been quite an day I talk to you all later on...in an world of pain myself tonight...was kind fo getting over this gout bit and split my sore toe on the nightstand...I could of screamed you know to where they would of heard me up at Mt. Hood...miles away.... So I'm out to take it an bit easy tonight. Sue.... the Holiday like all celebrations are what people make of it...as to if it's good or bad. I can't say I'm particularly fond of Monday's most the time, reguardless of the date. I generally prefer make it an quite day usually. You go an see the "Painted Ladies" when your in San Francisco?...now there's some people knowing thier house painting skills. |

That's why we had the FBI here in town years ago..some "terrorist" types had found an way to hack into to home Pc's in our area from Portland State University in downtown Portland...they were trying to clean up the mess...that's why after 9/11 every middle eastern student in the area "left" that night for fear of interogation for the crime. You know Ben Ladin was trying to buy an large piece of land down in Southern Oregon to train his guys...and they caught it in time to stop it. That is why "Bush" treated Oregon with such arrognace after he got into office to make himself feel superior. Of course the majority of us neverknew or supported such things going on illegally...and we find these days there's little we can seem to do about anything going on illegally not to our likeing in ways. this kind of started with the "Guru" named Rashnesh many years ago when he came over an decided to buy an lot of "dust" in central Oregon...but then wanted to treat if like his own small "country" and was told he couldn't do that... the drug cartel has taken up where the terrorists left years ago. They had another major Marijuana bust in Vancouver, Washington yesterday of growing it...it's it nice to know the only people can afford to buy these huge big houses are drug dealers..wonder what the "bankers" would have to say about that one...but then again it's hard to know how many support an little relaxation using the stuff themselves. We will always have the problem up here as California may be the drug capital of the the USA if not some one else..like Chicago..Florida...Washington D. C....so forth. Gesh!!! |
Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 19:46 on 14th October 2011 I think that's what the protestors are tyring to say these days...for some reason we have lost the true "idealogy" of "Americanism" and in some ways I think that is what Ben Laden was trying to say to us many years ago also...looks what's going on with your big banking systems....Your "streets"...your ideals in life. That's why I think "Bush" was so jolly scot out perseucute him...he found an way to divert the event into an personal agenda of military rule as he saw it fit fo rhis own personna. But you see..the problem is still here...it's not been solved until people go back to being more truthful and humanitatian acting...where money has an satisfactory adjustment to stop making it an "God" to everyone. It's not about money itself, if marbles had worth...there would be problems there unless the coruptness were put to an stop. It should of been the bankers cleaning up thier own industry all along...things would of not come to an head as they have. But then again, it takes an decent banker to begin with..one of intergrity. |
