Just try moving from a 3-bedroom house with garden and garage to a small, 2 bedroom flat (apartment to you Americans). And then decide where you are going to put a lifetimes accumulated junk!!!

 Good luck anyway Cathy

I know exactly how you feel Andy. I moved from a 5 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, 2 car garage on a 1/2 acre lot to a 2 bedroom apt. with a den. Everything was piled to the ceiling and that was even while renting a storage unit! Takes a lot of time to sort through everything.

Good Luck Cathy! Keeping my fingers crossed for you and hoping it's a smooth transition.

Hi Shaun! Lovely to see your pictures from the zoo again! Smile

We are doing something very similar Cathy - moving from a 4 bed/3 reception/farmhouse kitchen/flatlet/double garage and carport/ 2 large store room/workrooms/8m x 8m studio on 1100 square meter land to:

2 bedrooms/1 reception/1/4 size kitchen/1 garage and carport & a small wendy house (hut/shed/cabin thing) on 450 sq meter land!

For now all my stuff from the 8mx8m studio will have to stack up in the garage.

It is a living nightmare at the moment!  I shall be so glad when it is over. All the surplus furniture will be left for Hospice to collect after we have moved what we can to the new place!

Thanks for your wishes Cathy & Marjorie.  As the new house is only about 1km away I have taken quite a lot of stuff over there already and hope that will make the move fairly quick and pain free.  Anything left behind I can still come back and get it later, lol!!
