We spent yesterday switchng the summer bedroom to downstairs near the woodstove, and hung up new curtains...made the room we left into an sitting room. Still have some dusting and cleaning to do..but my kitty cat needs some lovin's and he's looking rather passively" in love" since I took the time out to smooch him proper. Wonder if Diana still has her cat. I see Andrew Marks put up pictures on Leeds castle..now there's one for sure I'd go to visit if I were in England. Thank you Mark! It is going to get cold this week here...down into 40 one day, and yes, my hands are already hurting. I did an 528 healing session the other day. The earthquake in eastern Turkey took 74 lives yesterday...earthquake reports.com. People are scared that San Francisco will be next, it;s on the 102.8 meridan of the 103 p-wave..which resonates with earthquakes world wide...but it takes an weak area for it to happen on an 103 p-wave area...it has to be vernerable. Made an huge pot of the Chief's "Swiss Cheese Fondo"last night(complete with Chablis wine guys)...was good on the dark rye and light "dill" rye bread...gettting the season for that an the hot cocoa...though I think hubby had an beer as he watched an sports game on tv. I go for now..have an good day everyone! Sunny out there right now...autumn leaves all over the pace now. |

Disgraceful... I say tie a bag to the rear end of them all with a zip attached to a piece of string so that every time they get home the dog lover says c'mon pooch (whatever the name is) and the dog promptly deposits the contents of the bag on their own doorstep as it looks up at the 'responsible dog owner'! |
Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 19:05 on 25th October 2011 Yes, they need to make more doggie "parks" for dog owners....where they can kennel the dog at the end of the walking session and go back and clean up it's messes without the dog there...they'd probably be more apt to do that...or else do like this kennel owner I use to know suggested...have little pit stops of cement slabs on the route where the dog can go to the bathroom on it and then open up an water facet hooked to disinfectant and spray the droppings and all down an sewer pipe to discard it. then no one has to clean it up really. vetenarian doggie doctor told me one time if you see big droppings frrom an large dog it's not getting proper nutrition...most of what the dog is eating is waste known as "fillers" material in it's food. It's droppings should be no bigger then an smaller dogs eating the same food. We got an direct CME hit yesterday, mostly all over North America, sure affected me and then some. I felt as though someone was holding me down gravitational wise...but anyway...went away...I'm having computer problems now also. Best get going...everyone leave for some reason??? |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 04:37 on 27th October 2011 A little bit Ron, mostly stuff on sale though...or low priced things I think might be well picked over by the time Chirstmas comes. for instance, I bought my grandaughter some long johns...with flowers all over them and an robe to match and she needs some slipper boots to match and I thought some cheap nail polish maybe.Though I see Avon just came out with some new "crackle" type nail treatment...you put down an base coat color and then this black stuff crackles over the top in black..kind of like tiger stripes...then you seal coat over it all. Though the plain stuff I was looking at had about 8 bottles for $5. The long johns were 2/$10...or half price. I was thinking of getting some small lace edging for them around the arms...and maybe neckline. I got my son an "New" steel kabob thingy for his BBQ I found recently also...he got the BBQ for father's Day...I bought that last year before as an close out "one of an kind" at the endof summer and gave ti to him for Father's Day this year. I just had my "Holloween" expereince Ron...freaks me out! We were taking my grandson home and on the way we heard that the police in an chase got into an accident with some guy and it closed down highway 26....so we were calling my daughter in-law to tell her to take an alternative route. this happened right at the end of Sandy, near their newest built nursing home there. You know my son is out of town and I worry about him...kind of like Sheila does...her son is an logn haul driver also....so I said an little prayer for him to "protect" until he got back here safely. Because I know we all have guardian angels that protect us...guide us to do the right things in life. Well, we get out to my daughter in-law's tonight...and she's telling us that when she went by this accident that they had left with an police car in front, the ambulance, then another police in back...all lights blarring toward Gresham and probably into Portland to one of the big hospitals. Then my son calls...seems they didn't have one of his driving permits correct and the Montana Highway Dept stopped him and re-routed him.... as they called in to get his hauling papers straightened out. So he was in his motel room for the night waiting for them to come through. Ok, so we go to leave to head back here and we decide to go past where this accident happened earlier...it was cleared off, except for an patrol car there taking measurements yet,and further down the road..another accident...there's this little car that had an man in it that had apparently hit an gasoline tank on an big truck...it barely dented it...but the guy...looked like he'd passed out maybe...even though the front of his car sustained damage...it wasn't critical type damage...I looked at him and be dammed if it didn't look like my dad......Dad has been dead now for several years when he was younger...I got my first name from his supervisor's wife... dad use to work for the Nebraska Highway Dept before coming to Oregon in his younger years. So we went further down the road and where they had the July 4th fireworks in Sandy last summer....another partol car with flashing lights going on in the meridan divider of the road..maybe as an warning factor to all going on the other end of town? There is an lot of symbolism in all going on tonight. They say, 3 times and whatever..it's done with. I do wonder though if this was my answer to protection to my son...dad showed up on the other side...to see him safely back here again and with us and his family? Last we heard they re-routed my son, his papers went through and he'll be late getting back here this weekend...but an few hours later. Whole thing tonight was an bit freaky though as I observed what was going on. You know I'm not an die hard "Prayer" for this and that constantly...but I sure do seem to be heard when I do say them in earnest. An mother's " intution" perhaps an bit also. At any rate we fisnished tonight off with some coconut cream pie and coffee...something I kept also feeling I would like here as of late, why I have no idea....Picked it up at the Safeway Grocery Store in Sandy...and laura was the checker...which laurie is my neice Sherry's mother....though we usually buy pie/coffee at Sherri's Restruarnt here in town.....Peace be with everyone tonight...drive carefully. I'll be thinking things over that's assured, lots of sybolism in it all. |
