I am so glad to see you have a "plan of action" Syd, even though it will be hard for a while.  I guess you also have a wonderful 3 weeks in England to look forward to and make the most of.  Good luck with whatever final plan you make - but don't make it too hastily though!!  It is easier to wait a while than make the wrong one!!

Stay strong!

Hi to all my great POE friends - hope you are having a great day Smile

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for the support. I will not sell this place easily but hopefully it won't take too long. The fact is I cannot stay her for too long because it is lonely out here and the property meads nothing to me now that Rose is no here. It was her bit of heaven and I dedicated my life to making her happy. Now it is "maintenance" only and move when I can.

See the picture attached and you understand why she loved it so.

Sometimes leasing an place out will give you added income Syd..to some nice folks..it can be an appealing situation...versus selling in an unfavorable market right now. I guess they finally sold the house at the end of the block after 2 years. I knew it would sell if they'd put just an bit of care into it. Was talking to my nieghbor across the street yesterday with my hubby..he's getting ready to tear out his 34 year old decking...looks like he got it done so he was explaining to us what he wanted to do with that next. I rested more today...so I'm feeling better in ways...will have to get ahold of my sister later on though...tomarrow I have to make her doctor's appointment for her.  Took the grandson back to his house also.We fixed some window blinds on the kid's rental house also today, can't find an new one for the front window without ordering it custom made..she will have to do that one.. Son stubbed his toe on the sofa end...really an bad case of getting it bruised. Nice day for the fact they say it might rain the rest of the week. Daughter in-law is getting bone tired...i can tell. I'd like us as an family go somewhere for an over nighter to get away from all the work...and little play we are into these days. My grandaughter graduates at the end of the month from primary school...(8th grade) I think everyone is looking forward to school getting out for the summer. I'm still hoping someday I can get back to the painting around my house that needs done inside and out..Well, "carrry on"... as they say...and have an good day!

Hi Shirley,

That is true so long as one can get decent tennants. That is sometimes difficult here due to the socio-economic situation.

If I can't sell, however, leasing may be the option.

All as I know is that it is rather lonely here. Its not so bad during the week because there is always a lot of farming activity but weekends are deadly. I could probably spend a whole weekend here and see another living soul. At least I have my 6 furry friends who "dog" my footsteps.

Have a good day all. It has started out pretty chilly this morning but will no doubt turn warm once the sun finally gets up.
