Got to hope he makes it... Both Anna and I still suffering chronic osteoarthritis Peggy among other things. It will never go away, just hope for medication, and then there's my Dercums, and...lol Sarah recovering from her gall bladder and stone removal, but tender for a while yet. You have to put a brave face on things eh, but POE goes on!

Posts: Joined: 1st Jan 1970 | editPosted at 17:46 on 23rd May 2012 Yes, I'm wondering why all the health problems myself..my other older sister in-law gets out of the hospital this morning from bleeding ulcers. That mnakes one brain tumor operation and radiation treaments for an month..one Gall Bladder Operation on an Type 2 diabetic, my huuby's recent ordeal and ongoing preventive health issues, they called him yesterday to tell him the polps they removed last Friday looked to been pre-cancerous...my health issues in ways, and the sheer exhaustion most the time of my son's family..who thrives most days on about 5 hours of sleep at most. Our Sarah is getting pretty thin and pastey white colored herself these days...and anixety ridden from sheer exhausion. Not to mention the expenses for everyone.. that they really have no money to pay for. Everyday has become an "one day at a time" around here. I hope things go well for you Ron..as we all struggle to make it over the obsticales this year.... to survive them. Now...I must say.."Dancing with the Stars" this season was one of rarity..one where there was individuality and people that came together at the right time to make it one of the best seasons so far.We had William's Latino "sexiness" without the without the vulgar dirty sex, we had Katherine"s :sweetness and purity...wihout the mushyness of an poof- foo to have to deal with, she held her ground, and Donald once again proved you can be an kid with an harsh bringing up and over come it to be an winner doing things the right way(not selling drugs)..finding an good woman that steers you right....he makes everyone proud of him and respectful of his nonstop efforts and hard work.. Derek's innovative moves, and his partner's abilty to heklp him carry them out... older people that gave to the show, beyond the call and duty to prove that life is beyond turning 50, and an lot of "youth" and promise coming up in the years ahead by many of the others...you got to love Ronish...the audience was great this year...they never gave up in the enthusiaism to spur them on to greater heights...and the judges made for sound judgement...and despite Len's cricital eye now and then...he never waivered the "love and support" of the people....No, this show was something I have not seen in quite an while in an TV show...individualism and dedication and hard work and an melting of all the things that make an great show,,, an great piece of entertainment..the dancers had professionalism running through their veins and it showed...you as an observer.. felt as if you were part of an" team" of all the right people doing the right things at the right time...and my God..... how hard that is to do. I give this year's show an "!!"...one better.... then most. I like the host and hostess also,,,if only I could be as pretty as she is..and as organized as he was....but throughout it all I saw something I haven't seen lately in TV..sincerity and truth....."humanism" that soemthing that bubbles through to make the judges "keen and articulate in thier opinons"...and kind people..much respected. So, what comes next..because having this greatness is an hard thing to keep up with conitnually...and hold onto..for now...stand proud people...it was FANTASTIC! . My grandaughter graduates from the 8th grade in an week or so...and so it was last night...I took her over her little kiddy suitcase...and told her she has earned the right to an more adult one now...and with it I gave her an ceramic car bank...and told she had an short four years to start saving if she wants an car of her own,,and started her out with an $50 bill. Though it sounded like she'd probably use it for an granduation dress. It seemes like just yesterday we watched an little girl with big blue eyes crying and screaming and hanging on to us ...that she wasn't going to leave grandma and grandpa's house...no way! They not only pryed her off us...they had to give her an puppy also. I told her...I wanted her to bring over some new underwear the next time she stays over night...and she looked quizzical at me...and smiled as I told her she now has to stay one size above acting "to big for her brtiches"...she laughed....then I gave her the hug. I must get going for now...my son is not going to be able to celebrate his own birthday...as the family spends the night at Willamette National Cemetary planting thousands of flags with other Boy Scouts for "Memorial Day" this weekend. I took him out an steak dinner last night, birthday cake...and an card with some more money in it to do as he pleased. Sounds like they are talking an BBQ for Mariah's graduation. So have an good day everyone...will talk later on. |

I sure hope that Anna's dad comes through it all ok. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this tough time. Hopefully everyone else is ok and enjoying the warmer weather (those in the northern hemisphere of course). It is not so cold here tonight. It was a warm, almost hot, day today so the night time temperature won't go down so far. No electric heater required tonight. |
