Strange how it is cold in your part of the world and the UK when it is supposed to be summer. We have also had a lot of rain which is not normal for winter here. I guess we blame the unusual cold on Global Warming. (LOL) All is well here but I have had to readjust how I drive because of the lack of courtesy and agression here. Driving here is interesting if nothing else. If you lose concentration for 2 seconds you will be hooted at at best or pushed off the road. Ah well, that's Africa I guess. I hope all is well with you all and we'll chat agian sometime soon. Stay well. |

Shirley, it sounds as though you are about to overdo it again - relax dear and don't take on so many responsibilities!! Hi everyone! Unfortunately the whiskey suggestions didn't work - but simply because there isn't any in the house :-) Instead I got me a nice tooth abscess and swollen fat face!! Not the happiest of weekends, that's for sure. I rushed out to the dentist this morning and got some antibiotics and hope they will be fast acting!! Hope the weather is being kinder to everyone and you are having a good day! |

Imaging minibus taxi drivers flying planes or, perish the thought, airborne blue-light convoys! Argh!! Scary. I sure hope your abcess goes away quickly. It is the most painfull and uncomfortable thing to have. Have a good evening all. |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 04:19 on 26th June 2012 Second time I lost my post...someone is interferring. Hubby brought home his younger sister's obt...it has him married to someone else by name with one less kid, and from England. Nothing his older sister told me an week ago that they were going to do...sounds possible. So she may or may not be dead, or possibly simply renamed...though she probably is because thier hometown paper says an doctor in town was buying adulterated pills, from an lady in LA Jolla, Califronia for cancer treatments... as one of their headliners...plus two sexual child abuse cases going on back there. Anyway I was told that there would be no sevices, because he's getting her cremated and taking her with him back to England...and didn't want to mess with the flowers...we all know she's been very sick for an very long time anyway.I think...though I haven't seen her in an very long time... but I thought maybe they would have an "Celebration of Life" for her maybe some day and this obt says an memorial service will be held for her at 6 pm Wednesday June 27th, 2012. ...I find that strange to have an memorial service at dinner time essentially. So I don't know what's going on exactly. I have yet to see him here in town without his two cousins escorting him like armed guards also. It's hard to talk to anyone under those circumstances...because that is what I "feel" around him...he's being "guarded" not "visiting". it is another one of those cases where I stay out of it all for the most part. Last time I talked to the town trying to find someone to tell me where Ruby had been taken I was for the most part, shifted back an forth from Lebanon to Springfield Hospitals and never found out an thing as to what Hospice Center she was in, and couldn't get ahold of her daughter whom was probably with her not answering her cell phone. I agree with Gary's wife Terri..when she told me one time the whole town stinks in " lies and cover ups" so now I don't know what to do...I was well of the time that Ruby passed...I "felt it" here being pyschic, knowing she was in trouble...myself. I am not so sure it was more of an case of expectation for her death..and wonder about her real "care" back then. .. this has become the number one issue for people dying these days you know....way before thier time. But then again...the end of 2012 is coming and if it comes with havoc...whose to say these infirmed people will have any health care given then.. if they need it either. Nurses and many doctors are commmited these days as to how much money jingles in the pocket. But anyway...perhaps her son will do what he did the last time and call me on the phone and give me an way to contact him...I hope he gets his mother's genelaogy history papers and keeps them, it has diredt names of relatives on it in an group chart...hubby and I did that one year...we made this up with over 1,100 pages going out and sent them to each of the oldest kin in each family....for others to take the data off of...Ruby helped me with those names back then. Had it not been for her, I would of made several mistakes thinking our Government Documents always tell the truth...it in turn resulted in an complete different story to the family. Syd, the drivers are crazy any more point blank where ever an person lives...you really got to drive slower and be prepared these days. Thank God they came out with cars that now tell you when an anything is to close.. or in an "blind spot" ...if you can afford to buy one of them. Glad to hear your feeling better Cathyml. I think that if they would allow light "mantaince" anti-biotics in one or two days doses or when needed it would greatly improve everyone's health...esp. with our poor food processing these days. Samonellla...right now it's yellow fin tuna ...ecoli...and an host of such things going on with bad bacteria..one reason the herbal shops are promoting pro-biotics. In hopes the good germs can out weight the bad ones... if you take enough. How messed up it leaves you internally is another question. They changed my daughter in-laws summer college classes..her biology class is not going to start until August...so she will have an full schedule then. I hope she takes the time between now and then to spend some time with her kids. I mean they really need some timewith them doing things together. They will be pretty well grown by the time she gets through this all in my estimation as it is. It helps in their teenage years to listen better to the parents also if they keep closer. I guess I go for now. I took one grandson back to his house and picked up the other one..he's here tonight.. While I was out there dropped off two pizzas and an box of Ice cream sandwhiches. sissy was baking the pizzas to eat when I left....which means everyone's not starving to when mother walks through the door also....dead beat tired herself. Talk to you all later on. |

Gesh! I miss Leslie also...Colorado Springs, Colorado is burning with an wildfire and doesn't live all that far away either. Had an Ham radio event this last weekend. |
Ron Brind Posts: 19041 Joined: 26th Oct 2003 Location: England | Posted at 08:10 on 26th June 2012 For what it's worth Shirley my PC plays up in a similar manner. I can be typing away not watching whats on the screen and suddenly the text is 'gobbledegook'. I have to go back, delete, correct etc; so in a situation where say I didn't check it before hitting the send button, it would be rubbish paragraphs. I have no idea why or how it happens, but it does now make me read it a second time. |
Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 19:56 on 26th June 2012 Ron... my text jumps on me while I type sometimes..I asked them in computer-land about all my problems...they told me most of them are people taking my text to read themselves. He said that the computer can't compensate for the little void in an word, so it causes the mispellings. I deleted 25 pictures in my picture folder the other day of some young guy and pictures with other people I never put there. I open my computer and close it to an kid's game also when ever I use it...it fact game has never been used...there seems to be no way I can get it deleted myself so far. Why I put up with all of this is something else. You would think an privately bought and paid for computer and server...would belong to it's owner. I think that is the problem in an world where by those don't have any money to pay for these things themselves find ways to "take over" sites they think they can. If the computer industry would of left an special "kids" affordable way to hook to an server, so they could go there...it wouldn't be happening. It's like thieves...they wouldn't be out there as much if they had thier own money.. honestly. I check my text before posting it, but I still have spelling mistakes after posting. Syd...your right about the weather...we are all talking about it over here, it's like an mid-line through the USA, horizontally...south its in the 100 plus degrees right now and north it's 65 degrees....one side sweltering, the other side freezing. Today is June 26th and it was cold enough this morning I turned on the furnace to heat the house up.. it was so cold. I don't think even Alaska is this cold in the summer. Tis true, I function better in the cooler weather...but I can take up to 85 degrees pretty comfortably in the summer time.... If it ever gets there. I cannot think of any volcanoes spewing ash...afffecting planet earth to make for these conditions either. I wonder if my nieghbor's having some kind of medical problem in her household...she gets in her hubby's pickup every morning about this time and goes somewhere..or in her car. Maybe she's opened up another beauty shop somewhere. Just I was watching all her private clients coming an going.. not her...things have changed. I ususally look straight down into their driveway.... while I'm on the computer desk in this room.....so I notice things. They announced on this morning's news that the Police broke up an teenage slave sex ring this morning in Portland somewhere...really scary these days to have an teenager...with all the sex crimes going on any more. Grandson gets his "Tenderfoot Badge" tonight(Boy Scouts)...so he will hand it to his mother.. so she can pin it on him in the ceremony. So grandpa and Scout master will be there also to congradulate the boys as they do this. So he is offically into the older Boy Scouts now. I am wondering if his brother will follow suit...though he's more into Karate at the moment. I guess I better get going for now. Long day ahead I have an funny feeling..so talk later on. |
