Good day...felt like I talked soem with Jesus last night as I was sleeping (resting) and then woke to the most wonder quite soft rain outside...my plnats perked up...we went over to my sister's house to deliver her dresser drawers we were building fo rher also....and I saw horse laying on the ground, and later on three cows...they must feel bleesed also to not have to lay on ground over 100 degrees. We got the dressers delivered...and sounds like my daughter in-law and son are back, he's already been summoned to go to work also. Ijust did an suvery for our health insurance also. Sun is just now breakig  out from an cloud filled sky...will return to "nice" with an few showers possible couple days...but into the 80's. I still must go and work over those squash plants..it says...make solution of 1 part vinegar to 20 parts water and spray tops and bottoms of leaves and repeat every 4 to 5 days until the mold appears to be gone.  Reading this over...the problem is an Ph balance problem that allows the mildew to take place. It was 71 per cent humidty last night with an dew point of 69 degrees. This morning is as if we are all expereinceing an kind of reprieve from the harshness of the heat. But I feel an sense of autumn now also for the first time in the air...which means gives it maybe 2 or 3 weeks and summer's over.

Cathyml...I looked at every store in our area..none of them sell Plum Jam/jelly....and I keep thinking about canninng some zuccihnni, I only know of one other person that has ever done that, it was long time ago...when we canned anything we had in our gardens if it was produced. I know they make them into pickles...but have not found an canning receipe for it as of yet. Kind of miss being out of my quart sized jars of chili also...as it was easy to pop one open in an moments hurry....coming in inside from out in rainy cold  winter...or sometimes it was that way. Things I "can" because they are not easily bought. One thing would be nice...if your going to send us imports on food...to date it for us. Makes it easier for us to rotate our pantry foods to use them up correctly. I just bought some small canned hams from Denmark....and they are at one pound, and excellant item to make up Christmas Baskets with...along with things like panckae mix and homemade jam and jellies..some of the small beef jerky stuff at the store...english muffins...and assorted dried fruits. Toss it all in an basket, top it with the clear window shrinky dink plastic wrap and use an blow drier to get it to shrink and toss on an ribbon with an package of herbs of some kind for the window sill to grow later. Makes an wonderful door gift at the Chirstmas Season and one you can surprise people with. The plastic over it keeps the weather out.... whatever it may be doing at the time. I've even thorwn in at times fresh holly with berries/candles/evergreen pieces...or made mini-wreaths out of my old canning jar rings..wiht fabrics.  I guess I best get going for now. Half the day is now gone. Talk later on. It may be Jesus went to dinner with us last night also...I thought on the way home, I saw him with my neighbor boys that help me now and then... and he waved to me as we went by. They managed one time to get my seat belt out of my car door without breaking anything...though he closed his eyes and kicked open expecting the worse I guess you know. Hubby was that weekend with the Boy Scouts, and I was petrified as to what he'd say when he got home..but they came through for me. I don't like car problems...but they are very apt at dealing with the automobiles.

I can't stay to long...have people coming out to fix the rain gutters finally tomarrow...my grandson is here....and his cousin might stop by to pick him up to take them to an local park/creek. Hope they play it safe .So should be an busy tomarrow. I'm starting to think about  winter clothes also, as all the school kids clothes are are sale right now. I find myself without any purple at the moment. At any rate...catch you all later on. I also looked up and few of the places the book the other night mentioned in England tonight. At least there are caves in Yorkshire...though not the ones they mentioned.
