Hi everyone!  Tonight appears to be quiet - last night was totally crazy with the storms (and there didn't seem to be anyone around on POE either!)

Hope you had a great day and enjoy your evening!

Thanks Shirley, those bridges re amazing!

I was babysitting this morning..my grandson and we were watching cartoons of some cats...one was dressed up like an King and the other two had the name of "Sir Os-ris" and "Sir Beef Tender-lion"..and they were out for some dinner...the King was advising them where to go an get it. I think they may of been "knight" cats at that also. Naturally they were picking on Jerry the mouse of the cartoon "Tom and Jerry". And Naturally they ended up sending out for some "pizza" instead.

I bought an book week or so ago..called Papier Mache Style..with the instructions for making 100 designs in it for bowls, jewerly, toys, vases, mirrors, and games...but it has an life sized paper mache throne chair that is so unique and so fancy you'd never know it wasn't an expensive chair in furniture. Some of these things are geared for the kids...but this thing has an very elegant look to it..it's kind of red-orange with an golden star fish in the back of it and the front of it...uses Egyptian motifs and is emblished with gold paintall over it...the arms have protruding coiled designs..and the back of it comes to an soft oval with like star ray spikes..that have different scenes on each spike...the seat looks like an pilliow...and down below in front of the chair it looks like it has jewels embeded, but the paint job on this thing is very elegant.  It has an wood and chip-board foundation to it. It is then covered in pulp, and embellished using an craft knife for the decorations with metallic or acrylic paints..the attached sculptures are made from basa wood with pulp applied to them for an 3 dimensional look and painted..and hooked through the chair on wobbling wires to the back with u-pins. It has got to be an "one of an kind" project. The book was written by Alex Macormick in 1994...called Papier Mache Style.

I was writing some...on my subject of Gold.. while my grandson was sleeping, and so it is Iguess I had better get back to it. Cathyml would appreciate the paint job on this chair.

Has anyone ever bought  a useless gadget?  I bought a battery operated tin opener, put it on the tin press the button and off it goes around the tin and removing the top no rough edges,  but first time using it it stopped half way round and my son pulled and tugged at it trying to remove it and suddenly it started again and finished the job, but today I did it  again stopped half way round but no matter how I tried it will not budge, I managed to pull up the lid just enough to scrape out the contents all in a mush and the gadget is still on the tin, now waiting for a man to remove it with brute force.Cry

That's what I liked about the old time ones...they held the can in place as they went around the rim. I'm kind of so-so on some of the newer things they sell these days. It's like for one thing that might of improved, it hasn't in another aspect. My bread machine I think for me, makes an better loaf of bread if you take it out on the last rising..and do in an 170 degree shut off oven, like you do the frozen bread instructions for unthawing it. It makes an higher an fluffier loaf. But bread is something I don't need to be eating all the time in watching my weight either. It must be an ever so once in an while treat, like most everything else...little dab will do ya. Good luck on getting the can opener unstuck Peggy.

I stayed up last night and listened to the lady about "Asketic" records on "coasttocoast"...and learned a few things...what I've been calling my messages of "revelation" in understanding.. might be an glimpse of going into them. It's real hard for me to find people that can talk about these things that really know what they are talking about. It's not about "psychic" things, but rather more about an higher realm of learning in the universal aspect. I agreed with her in an lot of things, that mankind does indeed dwell to much in the negative. She said that we have the abilty to balance things out without this" black or white" kind of dealing with the way we do things..in our decision making. Before we can do that though, we have to understand our roles in how we help one another create balance...as we each affect each other in some way....by our actions. Sunny day out today. You know two days ago, I choked on taking my pills, like one of them started going down my wind pipe instead of my throat. I coughed it back up, but in the process, urinated down the front of me, and had an really rough time of it....turning blue trying to breathe. Last two days I've had when I cough, blood in what I spit up...not much, but it's still there. Must of scraped coming back up maybe?..hard telling. At any rate...I'm kind of taking things easy...and if it persits will need to go see an doctor... of which I received in the mail that I no longer have...she decided to join my cardiologist at Providence...and I don't have thier health insurance...I am on my hubby's company insurance plan. I now have 5 months before I get off that and on to my medicare insurance. So it's kind of tricky finding some kind of medical help right now. Not to mention we are still paying off hubby's knee replacement operation. I can not afford any hospital bills right now, as I don't make the money to deal with them in ways with my small income off Social Security. Hope I heal up on my own. Mybook has improved in getting it written an bit better...I now go into the women involved through the time. As far as I can see..having "Gold" isn't worth it...to much "violence" surrounding it. I can't see where it's helped any of the lives that have it. Yes, they have wealth but there's an type of geniune misery to that also. I go for now. Have an good day everyone!
