Sounds like a great idea Ruth. My mate and I were gonna try to produce a book of photographs many years ago but work took me away for a couple of years. Now some 25 years later i am considering reviving the idea again. A good project to get stuck into with any luck

Good luck with yours........and don't give in, get stuck in....

Hi Shirley, just reading your post about the bulbs appearing, funnily enough ours are showing themselves through the snow. A couple of them are about 2 inches tall already.

Hi Ruth!!,

Here in the Rockies,,we have more snow,,,and as a known rule to allwho garden these parts,,it is not safe to plant anything outside, container or ground until well after Mothers Day,,in May!

Not here either Richard..I planted this last year, bu tI went out today and took an look at everything, see how it was going just the same.

Ruth..wonderful idea... make so many memories on those long trips too..and now we have the cameras good enough to really take some good shots of the event...last place I think James and Jan Berkand went and visited some years ago..before the Christ church quake... he is lucky..if he's doing an lecture much of his expenses are paid by the lecture in traveling to and from.  Sarah Palin was doing likewise back and forth in Eugene, Oregon not to long ago. Business expense perhaps. I need to know more about an William Lawson that went there in the mid-1800's and built the first road up from the coast to an high plateau area...I understand because of the recent Christ Church earthquake they are emoving upland these days and developing it more so. That is if you head off into that area

Richard...you guys really throw laden bound snowballs for "May Day" Celebrations?...laughs*..... Let's see..where was it I saw that...advertisement in "Mother Earth News" Magazine... of an wind mill.... That's just what you need if your an Ham Radio Operator with an high tower...heh? Of course the local UFO"s might want to stop and take an look maybe....Just to see what it is. Ah..here it is...Whirlydoodle.com..it says...Fully assembled microelectric wind turbine..produces beautiful twirling colors at night $49.99 .Not to badly priced either. "Oh I live in the house with the colored whirly on top"..(not Shirley)... Smiles*

 Hello Everyone.

I was just wondering when Richard mentioned Mothers Day being in May, I wonder if we are the only country in the world where Mothers Day is in March ?

The snow has not missed us it's coming down thick and fast, just managed to struggle back from the supermarket, I can't see the car being moved again today, which will give me a chance to get on with some typing.

Chemo for the next three days.

I didn't feel good after the last session, but I've been exercising more and eating better  this time around so I'm hoping that will help. That and your continued thoughts and prayers.

Lovely weather for this trip to Reno, thank goodness.
