Sorry to hear of Bill's passing, indeed programmes like Dad's Army are a thing of the past .

My daughter in the early 1990s recieved a school prize day book from Bill, so a bit more of a personal loss as well.

Well Sue my daughter in-law's stepfather has been an week in the hospital as they took out an testicle and an lymph node with Cancer .So you are not the only one feeling weak and battling Cancer these days. Everytime I think of this guy for some reason I think of "Carl's, Jr hamburger stands.

I asked my brother how his wifey was doing...one with the brain tumor last year, removed, chemo..etc...hoping to lose weight to have an hip replacement, he said...just fine. then he said ironically "I insured her for an quarter of an million dollars so I could pay off her hospital bills if she decides to kick out on me...we hope it will cover the expenses...wouldn't bet on it though. I doubt he did that in reality. Just an way to let me know he's got hospital bills up his bugaloo. these days.

Sir Henry Cecil the ultimate racehorse training professional for me, has died at the age of 70 years. My understanding is that he was suffering with Cancer.

Responsible for 25 British Classic winners, Cecil was also the leading handler at Royal Ascot

God bless you Henry and thank you.

I always enjoyed Alan Whicker's travels, I remember watching him many years ago on the old black & white TV. Good age thought. RIP Alan.
