Comedian Mel Smith has died aged 60.

Probably best known for 'Alas Smith and Jones' and 'Not The Nine O'Clock News'.

Here's one for us oldies.  Mike Winters has passed away at the age of 82.

As we may remember, he and his brother, Bernie formed a comic duo in the 50's, 60's and early 70's.

Bernie I guess, passed away in 1991.

Mike & Bernie Winters, I don't remember whether it was Mike or Bernie but I'm sure in 1981 I visited a hotel in Miami Beach which was owned by one of them. I can't remember where the St. Bernard dog fit in with things ? But I remember the big dog.

Eydie Gorme, I had to Google her, not a name I've heard before.

Mike Winters lived in Miami for a while, but Bernie had the St. Bernard dog called Schnorbitz that he had a TV with.

Eydie Gorme (pronounced Gormay) had a really catchy hit with 'Blame it on the Bossa Nova' during 1963 - I remember it well.

Rest in peace Eydie
