I think there's every chance of that one day Cathy, Ambleside seems to be his favourite holiday spot, and who can blame him it is lovely.

Break time for an bit around here....as they say...I'm the last to know...we got up early and hubby started hauling away the grape vine debris....and he gets this phone call....and I've got sissy here with me over night...and making salads for an afternoon BBQ out at the kids' house and he tells  me there's an "funeral" he has to go to today at 2 pm...one of the their sponsors for the Scouts. Well, can't be making food and all and get it out to the kid's house and back in time for the funeral memorial....I passed him as I was turning the corner to come home. I'll wait about hour an half and take off for the kid's house if he's not here yet. Left the kid's house with an black bean potatoe salad with tiny celery crunchies in it...and orange/avacado salad all prepared so all she has to do last minute is add it all together with the honey.poppy seed drressing. and two family sized bought green salads...with the corners filled with green onions, bacon bits, fresh tomato, and  boiled egg slices...20 frosted cookies with two bags of various flavored taffy. Ranch and Italian salad dressing and paper towels, plates, forks and 6 rools of paper towels. They are making the cardinta style meat and dip with the tortillas.Hard telling what else shows up...and so goes my day today. We also got some of the  outdoor furniture pressure sprayed washed, laid down the outside carpet...and we enclosed the woodshed in new green tarp so we could place an kidies pool in front of that and get ready for the youngest grandson's birthday here in an week or so. Time just keeps marching right along, so going to rest while I can an bit. Talk later on.

Not too sunny here now. The farmers are burning off the moors, one fire has got out of control, 6 fire engines have gone tearing up the road lights flashing and sirens blaring, everything is now shrouded in smoke. Lets hope it's all out soon, same thing happens this time every year Frown

And now the road has been closed to traffic, must be getting bad.

Warm and very windy here..besides an good lot of California on fire from Santa Anna winds..I see now there's an fire over by La Paine this morning..north an bit of Bend, Oregon. Food yesterday was great...someone showed up with some Spanish Rice, and natcho"s with salsa fixin's and an picnice cake..which I didn't get my hands on before we left.  It was so wndy no one could paly badmitton..the little birdie was blowing to Seaside (coast) on the first serve Sandy spent the better part of the day without power. I ended up picking up three bags of ice and some ice cream and my big cooler before I got to the kids house. Hubby left the funeral and came out to the BBQ...he said an lot of people showed up...packed the church.  Rie goes on you know...this fella was not very old...born in 1946. Anyway, now I have to figure out how to make an cable swing from the kid's so called tree house...over to the plum tree where they can fall down onto the trampoline before they get to the tree. Chris told me yesterday that they sell the cable wire in some hardware stores and maybe the mountain hiking stores might have the rest. I told him I wanted ansimple set up...easy take down for over winter. So might go looking for that today. Seven days now until the birthday. I knew the meat yesterday was an special type...they told me where you could get it at 3 times the price of most grocery stores...because this placespecial marinates the meat and ages it at the same time. It has the taste of an softer thin beef "jerky" to it..it's torn into strips and added to inside of tortilla's with an red salsa type sauce and eaten that way. I can't even begin to pronouce the name they call it. Stanyway, the sunshine is gleaming and bouncing off the cars and whatever it can this morning...so guess I best go get my first cup of coffee and look alive for the day. Have an good one. If your in my area, besure and take your fire extinguisher with you. Lots of houses are all lined up in Glendale California that are going to burn today unless they can stop the fire at the fire-line.

That's bad news with the fires everywhere!  It will be our turn very soon as we get into our very dry winter months!~ Stay safe everyone!
