I fear it may be a long job, but trying to keep positive! |

We nearly lost our eldest daughter (27 years old) last year, she had a back problem which was operated on, the operation went seriously wrong and she ended up very depressed and lost her job. If it hadn't been for 3 seven hour operations by a brilliant nuerosurgeon in Sheffield, and a months stay in hospital she would not longer be with us. She's on the mend now but still gets very down at times - backs, they can be a nightmare. Hope he pulls through OK. |

The very worst - just nothing seems to fix them permanently and it is so hard for them to live with and those around them. My son has now been diagnosed with the same problem his Dad has - he is not looking forward to the next 20 odd years having watched his Dad suffering. A heartbreaking story Ruth, glad she is slowly recovering! I couldn't wish that on my worst enemy!! Edited by: cathyml at:6th May 2013 20:56 |

Thanks for telling me about that, in an odd sort of way it helps! The distance between us is a bit of a problem too. I live in Torbay in Devon and he lives in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, so it's a lengthy train journey for me each time I go. Thank you everyone for your concern - much appreciated. |

They are trying to do all that they can to change things from the past and heal those that need it...where they can't heal it, they are trying to regrow it back to normal. I've had you on my mind because of another lady I know whose last name is "Pope" also...as they are kin to us Lawson's. She joined the Colonial Dames with the information she found...but she still questions the William Lawson name and whose who wearing it. She may of gotten into this organzation off the "Pope" name..not sure on that one...she' sall over the internet though as it's past President and the work she's done for everyone. I was depressed an bit today...wind finally got to me...hubby mowed the debris from the strong winds yesterday...today I sweeped off my back bedroom patio...with barely enough room to stand/sit in and got an whole dust pan of debris from the trees around us...I gave up on the yard...left...went thrift shopping for the day...brought me back all kinds of books to look into and did all afternoon. Takes my mind off things. I even bought an scenic travel book about Oregon..with pretty pictures in it. . So now I am wating for "Dancing with the Stars" to come on....and last week, everyone was teary eyed...two nights in an row...as both this and "American Idol" are down to the last few constestants. You feel so bad, yet things are what they are and only one person/couple in the end wins. All of southern Oregon is rocking and reeling under thunderstorms right now. Rememeants coming north but hanging around Mt. Hood and the Cascade Mts. pretty much...bue skies here. Feel tired. I think I need my dieting to start. |
