Peggy Cannell Posts: 5300 Joined: 14th Aug 2009 Location: UK | Posted at 15:28 on 17th June 2013 RUTH I was browsing through the local pics on Flickr and one man who lives not far from me said he was leaving because he did not like the new format etc, another said he agrees with him therefore I was going to send them an e mail to suggest Poe but I cannot find how to send hem an e mail, is it possible ? thanks

rustyruth Posts: 18773 Joined: 23rd Oct 2012 Location: England | Posted at 16:04 on 17th June 2013 Yes it is Peggy, go to their profile on Flickr (where their photos are) At the far right of the screen near the top under 'Date joined' you will see three dots ... click on here and a dropdown menu appears. Next to the bottom there is 'Send Flickr Mail' click on this, type your message and send. Hope it works for you I'm not sure about the new design either |

Grrrr. I was actually thinking of getting in touch with many of my flickr contacts in the UK and suggesting POE as well. I have joined ipernity meanwhile as a back up for my photos, because some Flickr members photos have vanished!! I'm having an awful time with it. I think the company was responding for calls for a refresh as the site was getting accused of looking dated, sadly they seem to have got it very wrong at the moment. I use Picasa web albums purely for storage, and Panoramio for the photos for Google Earth. Nothing beats POE though for UK pictures |
