As for your posts, they are brilliant! I don't think there is another person on POE about whom we know so much and/or about the life you have there. You know what, you could easily turn it into a book/film! Keep em coming Shirley! |

On June 23rd...in one hour's time..we have some tidal changes (caused of Pergiee changes)...that will see the normal tides in San Francisco Bay...change from an normal height of 4 feet something..to 8.1 feet...with an displacemnt of millions of tons of water weight coming into the Bay....Jim Berkland, was on "Coast" last night telling people if there are any weak fault lines in the area that this weight could trigger an earthquake then...to be or get prepared. Of course this will though affect the entire planet then also, but it's not as significant as the Bay area in particular. We have deal with this before with no significant problems. You know how the grocery stores put fresh melons out in front of the store to sell overnight...well two guys took it upon themselves to help thier "meth" drug habit by stealing them from two Winco stores...to the tune of 5 TONS of watermelons.... they got caught naturally...as stores have outside camera's these days. We had rain last night...by the time hubby got to Scouts he said it was raining so hard you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. We didnt' get that much here..but it did rain. I slept really well last night also. This morning I'm looking at the flooding rain in England from last year this time, as someone callled an meeting there to discuss England's weird weather as of late. Let us know if you come up with any solutions to it...as many people are fighting to try to survive crop failures and homes ruined and wildfires galore these days. Talk about scramble....you should of seen the Denver airport yesterday, when an huge threatening tornado was building up over it...made the biggest airplanes look like tinker toys parked out on the runways. No damage came from it...but it scared the socks off of many yesterday and was on the weather report "alert" system...just black and burly and huge...it spoke of evil I think...just looking at it. With that I go for now. See what today brings..Have an good one ....and James...I hope that lawn mower is an self-propelled type for the wifey. Someday think of investing in some goats and she won't have to mow...and might get some milk or cheese out of the ordeal. How's that old song go..Does eat oats, and so forth and little lambs eat Ivy?.... Think "fresh" and feed it an Subway sandwhich instead..laughs*. |

Spent most of the day so far stuck in the car ferrying Mother to various appointments, getting her all sorted out before we leave for 3 weeks in Cornwall next Wednesday. I've had my fill of doctors, dentists, vets and supermarkets today |
Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 17:18 on 20th June 2013 Good morning Ruth...could of said tha tyears ago..enough si enough isn't it. I wen tout to see sissy yesterday, first time I went out she was so sedated she looked dead to me, second time hubby and I went out there..she was awake, in great pain and sobbing considerably...they finally let her take off this ear mold they had on her for an bit...it was bloody inside, the guaze around her ear and in her ear...which they were replacing, but she wasn't crying as much. It hadn't been 24 hours since the surgery took place then and suspect as time goes on thngs will go away..she said what wasn't painful to her was itchy..probably the stitches from sewing her ear back onto her head. Her mom needs to get some petroleum jelly on them so they don't feel like wire to her. Don't know if it worked or not, but sent her healing, compassion and protectiveness "thoughts" to her last night...see if would help her. I spend a lot of my time with the kids today at times..holding my arms around them and asking the Lord for protection to them...it's placed inside their aura's. It bothers me to see them crying and sobbing...makes me want to cry also....and I guess you know parents and grandparents can't do it exactly....they have to instill an sense of loving care and security to the kids in times like this. Well, nieghbors are getting in the new driveways..one extended the driveway into three pads, and the other added and small side extention to their driveway. Do you think the ones with the incline thought to add someway to make it stable in ice?...I remember when Cathie and Mike lived there and she found her car down the incline and in front of the house next door one winter morning from the ice.though I admit, these people are more into using their garage...though Cathie always said it was next to impossible getting up the driveway with ice to get into the garage. Whomever built this house shoudl of put the driveway and garage off the other side of the house ..where it's not such an steep incline. Some more of that not thinking "out of the box" when it would of made more sense to do so in the long run. But I have my own problems that need solved, so will work on them. Obama has asked the IRS to forgo their 70 million dollar bonuses this year and they say they are not going to do that...so the "Tea Party"is asking for an IRS "audit" today..by protesting..We all know they are making millions and it wouldn't hurt them to help thier countrymen out in tough times. Mayor of Portland has already cut 16 million dollars from the city budget. He's not just cutting to be cutting either, but seeing what really can be changed to get the job done for less...with as good an quality work. With that I go for now..raining here. Need the rain though as things are really dry underneath the first couple inches of soil. Talk to you all later on. |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 04:11 on 21st June 2013 Ah, line dancing...they are offering that at the health club....though my hubby has never been into dancing point blank. He has no sense of rythum either. You have to like music I think. Now me, I can hike like an wild animal in the woods... if I can listen to my music as I'm going down the trail..crossing creeks...which is an big "no-no" in Scouting. Niel Diamond works best for me...at least back in those days...though Pink Floyd took over somewhat. You know his song James..."Anybody out there?" Sisy was looking much much better until her school report card came and she ended up crying again. See, an fancy big new school doesn't guarantee better teachers.I hate them so badly...I can understand why kids would shoot them up...and each other... for they make them into failures and "victim's" at teacher whims of child abuse. Absolutely no one would understand the shabby teacher so of today...it's like survival to go to school most the time...right now and woman teacher is indictedfor having sex with two 16 year olds in her classroom. The motherthat didn't know..was lied to...is simply "furious" for finding out what really was going on. It's getting to be an daily newsppaer item along with car accidents and shootings going on. What you want to bet that they got perfect "A's" in her classroom also. Like th elittle gal I picked up with some other kids at Barlow one day...wanted to go down to the shopping center grocery store..so I took her..she went in an came back with an bottle of cheap wine one of the clerks she knew bough tfor her..I asked he what was this all about..she said...sorry I'm so stressed out..it's hell at school tryin gto kiss their asses and look cute for decent grades. She was an inspiring Honor Student there also. I never saw her again..but once was enough for me. The teachers at the "alternative school" and those" troubled" teens..most AKWAYS from an single parent home..namely the mother... was arrested for raping his girl students...the closed that school down.He told them that they couldn't graduate without his signature. I understand that many girls learn more about forced prostituion these days...then they do in getting an education. Makes me mad...very mad. If they are "good enough" they are allowed to graduate..bunch of sicko's. |
