Hi Diana, James, York was lovely as ever, a bit busy being the school holidays so instead of spending most of our time in the usual spots around The Minster and The Shambles we headed off through the park and along the river bank. It makes a change to be able to walk on there, often when we go the place is flooded. I took some photos which will no doubt be appearing at some stage Smile

If you go in the car James, use the Park & Ride, it's much cheaper than trying to find a parking space in the city. Depending on your age of course the bus could be free Wink

There is still work going on in places, but in the main the city centre is work free, the river area is all finished, it's made to be flood proof now.

I'll be a while before I get a free bus Frown

would love to have you all over, looked out my window this morning a deer and two bambis cute as anything still young with spots the mother baths them and they stay close to her. We have lots of bald eagles where I am. Also a busy beaver is driving the conservationists crazy they bring down his dam for the salmon to get through but its up again next day. Dont know if I am for the beaver or salmon. Think the conservationist have given up at least for a while

Evening Richard Smile

Am I correct in thinking James that the bus pass can be used all over the country or is it just local ? I know you can travel between the Yorkshire Ridings and Lancashire (GM) with the ones issued here but I thought I'd heard of people going countrywide on holiday with them, after 9.30am that is Smile

Good evening to all. Actually, in England it almost midnight, so maybe I should say 'Good morning'.

We have a thunderstorm. YAY! One fire already sparked today, there will be more, as we don't get much rain with our storms.

Hubby is back on night shift tonight. This will be the first time in many, many years I have spent the night alone in our house. I'm sure I will hear every little noise and imagine someone or somthing is after me.
