Good Day "43"

It's only one day a week James, we normally combine any doctors/vets (her dog not my mother ) and supermarket trips into the one day so it saves a lot of driving backwards and forwards.

She's 84 now, walks with the aid of a stick, has nerve damage in her legs and feet from being diabetic, which causes numbness. We've asked the doctor today whether it would be worth applying for a blue badge so we can park nearer to the shops when I take her out- the doc said 'no chance' Mum can walk more than 50 yards so it's not worth even downloading the application form as she'd fail the assessment. I was outside the bank the other day, a car pulled up in a disabled bay, the two occupants both in their late 50's or so got out of the car and legged it off down the road like Olympic athletes - makes you wonder how some people get these badges.

I picked up my sister's green beans today at the Barn for her, but they had none of the big zucchini I needed to make zucchini bread out like they usually do and surprising little produce available....Maybe in another few weeks time. I think we are just getting around to harvest time now...and it's looking late because of the lack of rain.....14 fires across the western states, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, northern California, Nevada, Colorado. Tomarrow starts another lightening and severe storm alert for southern Oregon and into Idaho. Don't know if ti will come up this far or not, should know by Thursday.

I got the wedding present and will wrap It tonight and work on my clothes after that...it's been really hard this time around trying to find something suitable to wear...and priced what it's worth. I don' tlike most the clothes I saw at three women's shops and pricey..they must think we are made out of Gold.  I ended up with folds of fabric in an swirl going down the front in an gree/bright pink flower print on an black back ground...blouse is light weight looking polester I think.An white pants, I'll wear black sandels and tos it off with Gold Jewerly pieces. My hair is now all white colored also I guess you know. I useto keep it an golden blonde. Black leather purse. Blouse was made to hang over outside of slacks.

 So I guess I go for tonight and get to wrapping up the gift. I picked dishes and am including another line of dishes available that will match the ones I got as an set from Ikea..they can mix and match together or leave separately...as thye want if they want. Dishes are white on the inside and lime green on the outside. I mean ...like how many crockpots can an person get these days?..Heh? Toasters?Coffee pots? Hand mixers" Blenders? After that your out of appliances nearly these days. I worry about our kids future in shopping. You don't see many really pretty dishes any more likeyou use to...now I know why I keep running into new high priced cars out in the Goodwill parking lot these days. Merchandise like we use to buy and the quality and prices can only be found there these days. A good share of their book section wasn' t there today either. Wonder what that is all about. Talk to you later...it starts warming up outside again...ugh!.
