I remember Wimpy, they probably didn't taste too bad when you were young James, but I bet if you had one now you'd think they were awful. I can't imagine ever eating anything from any of the fast food take-a-way places, it all looks inedible to me.

I can't really say on here what my husband used to tell the children that McDonalds burgers were made of, needless to say, acute embarassment was caused when our eldest daughter opened her big mouth when she was 7 at a childrens Birthday party at McDonalds, she refused to eat, telling everyone including the staff what went in them Embarassed

Hi Richard, you OK, we should be due a re-run of Are You Being Served before long, the old ones still keep coming around.

Hellooooo Ruth,

I am a bit better with each day,,,I need not wait for the re runs on telly, I have all my fav's (including Are You,) on dvd,,,I play them very regularly..(better still than most of todays so called reality television)

I'm watching the news report right now.

Richard is not exagerating.  WOW! That is unbelivable!

Ruth and Sue,

It is sunny as I type, yet, the weather report calls for more of the same later this evening, we live at a bit above 7,000 ft. and the lightning seems so much closer when it comes! since we are in the "foothills" we really don't have an issue of flooding, yet, there are plenty of tree's with scars from all the lightning strikes around here.

How are things your way Ruth? and Sue?

Glad to hear you're not going to get flooded Richard. I don't think I've ever seen a tree with lightening scars before. I bet the lightening strikes are frightening but quite spectacular. Anyway stay safe Smile

Things are pretty calm here, warm and overcast at the moment.

Here is a 'lightening tree' RR.  I call this 'The boys tree' as when my two lads were young, I took a picture of them inside the tree.

The lightening is VERY spectacular ,and  scary at the same time,, and when we have these big storms, there is lot's of it!

This is due to the monsoon season that comes up thru Mexico ,thru Arizona and up here to Colorado, the season starts in July and goes thru early September.
