One of her drugs they took her off was incompatible with drinking...and she drinks like an fish "socialing"...something I've learned to not do...bu tI go tback my lap tests...came out like I was an alchohic...I don't touch the stuff. One of her drugs they took her off if, says I'd be dead by now if I was one if most likely..."warafin". My tests came back, my tricerides are 579...normal is under 150...they were about 1,000 something when I was 95 per cent dead and got thr stent...my blood sugar is 210..at 10.4...and goal is under 7.0. bad cholsetrol os up also by 1.3 points...but over all chosestrol is within normal range...some fo th rest of these I have to look at but were for the most withn normal range. I will be going back on my diet to lose the weigth I gained here awhile back....16 pounds....my blood pressure was also up in the doctor's office and my god...you'd think I was some kind of "Party girl" to read all of this. I feel sorry for hubby's sister, she's got huge black IV marks in her arm that are bruised, the tiny little blood vessels in her legs all broke and they turned borwn from the kneedown like they were bruised, she's on an breathing machine, nad she told me she had gained from 160 pounds to 220 pounds as this all started. She's got to get off the booze, rather it's wine or beer or hard liquor. She thinks an glass or so won' thurt her...if she don'tget out of denial...it may kill her...and the same goes for the rest of the family..they have to face up to the alcoholism, even if it is "socalable" drinking. Peggy..good to see you back here again. I could use an new mattress also...whenever I get the money that is. Our granddaughtergoes ot OHSU Nov. 27th for the titiantium bone implant in her ear...so health issues are just starting good. Jackie died from drinking and weight problems, I don' tknow if we can save Loui or not in time. All the good doctors in theworld can't help if you can't say "NO" to people for your own health sake. So keep those POE prayers going, and now I'm on the list also in another web sitebecause of my health...maybe we can all have an normal Chirstmas yet? Catch up in the threads... later on. |

Some of the exciting sidelines of our trip....now don't laugh please... I made some tuna sandwhiches on dill rye bread for driving home, and we thought we'd stop at McDonald's for some coffee...four exits later...all posted with freeway signs in Yakima area that they have an McDonalds...we never found them, and we drove some time at the off ramps, in cases, both directions looking for them. I finally told my hubby...This is getting ridiculous!....we ended up in Goldendale some 50 miles ot the south for coffee to eat our sandwhiches with. While we were at the sister in-law's her number one comment was"I'm on an sodium free diet" ...I can'r eat this..I can't eat that, and it's no wonder she's lost 50 pounds. She lives about one block from Walmart....I am sure those clerks will remember the two people going through their grocery shelves reading can and jar labels for the amount of sodium in the food. I never did find any suitable "goat cheese" to see what it contained...I would have to go to an specialty store for that one I suppose. I did ask her if she's ever thought of having an "goat" though. Finally the people in the blue car...going up hill...slow as an snail...going downhill..no bars with-held as to speed...we lost them, out in the middle of no where. Maybe they pulled over into the woods for an little "nooky"? Not to say most the forrest had suffered an summer forrest fire...so I hope they covered their windows..cause anyone probably could of watched them. There's something about those trees, the pine smell, fresh air...makes men more masculine and the ladies more appreciative of nature. Out in the middle of no where, for miles around...guess what's there?....an Greek pastry shop....yeah...what's Greek pastry?...anyone know. I think I saw an sign that also said "Gluten Free". Other then that things went pretty normal over the course fo everything. I didn't see one "Mediation" building for Neil...so maybe that's why the woods went up in smoke? Well, I'm tired... so I'm going to lay down on the sofa and see what happens, after I hug my kitty cat some more. I've already been doing that since we got home. Talk later on...have an good day or evening, which ever time zone you live in.

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 17:57 on 3rd October 2013 Send it where Neil?...pine trees are amazing trees, one cup of pine needles has more Vit C then does citrus fruits....it's also got antisecptic properties, and I have an receipe for old time coughsyrup around here somewhere also. Pine nuts can be harvested and used to cook with also. They are terribly expensive to buy at an store, if you can even find them. Bark to an larch pine tree...inner bark can be boiled and rinsed three times in water, and t hen when it gets an light pink color...used with chicken broth as "meat" substitute. Talk about "living off the land". I have instructions around here for doing that also. Works great with Top Ramen noodles out back-packing. I came back into town, needing to go to the store for fresh veggies and fruits..so be doing that today...just took my walk, and its been sometime, with my own feet swelling over this summer...giving me much difficulty. My kitty and I are having an "Love in" since I returned also. He puts his little head on my chest down low and just gives me such love, and raises up and licks me gently as if it were "Kisses".....Diana would understand, she had an kitty like mine at one time... anyway..be back later on to talk..lots to this morning. Type is so small I can hardly see it this morning..wonder who changed that one on me. |
