OK, Ron, one week lost 8 pounds but ten more to go before the end of the month and those lab tests again. Barbara, the colors sound so pretty...lot of people I know, including myself like purple. I tried to get my kids to do an dark purple with the cream and the "peace rose" which is an yellow rose with an pinkish blush on the ends...and they could of used the 200 massive display of sterling silver for no cost at this historic church they used near by...but didn't... opted out for white and bright/navy blue, with lighter blue in the flowers...candlelight wedding. No sterling silver though...just thought it was to much I guess. They broke an lot on the traditions of things. Wanted to keep it small and simple. One this last summer out by us, older "Scout" in our troop was done with brown and around an Strawberry pink theme...outside wedding. Never seen an wedding that it's not super special and nice...just something about them. Well, I slept in this morning...first time for an week..so am an bit behind and have some tidbits to pick up at the store. Raining here and bit windy..not to bad though.. no "excerise" at the club until I get some grey thread for my excerise jogs... to hem them up. Best get going for now. Have an good day everyone and enjoy it. |

You'll be better coming to the White Rose of Yorkshire though I was born in Yorkshire, mother is from Lancashire near Kendal which would have been Westmorland then and my dad was from the South Wales mining valleys... so quite mixture in me too. |

Both me and my dad were born in Yorkshire and are/were proud of it. I'm sure my mother who is now 84 still thinks I'm 'faulty' because I was born (in her opinion) 'the wrong side of the border' - white rose instead of red Nice to see you back James Edited by: rustyruth at:8th October 2013 20:32 |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 01:27 on 9th October 2013 I just lost my post. I never repeat what I lost. Just something about it. I feel the words go to up above...God...and the truth has been told. I'm tried tonight...I got my shopping done and the diet manual filled out for today...finishing up the last of it now with 16 ozs of water. I think I'll go take an bath and I just asked hubby if he'd build me an fire tonight in the fireplace. So I better go for now...besides I have the htread so now I can work on the jog pants and hem them, and maybe wash me clothes for this week by tomarrow. My sister called me about the Government...people are not happy over here...they are really picking umercificefully on us little guys...she's worried about her Social Security check, like I am mine, plus they put and dead soliders death benefits on hold...they sure didn't do any of this for the bankers....hand them everything they needed and more. Ifthey don't come through for us...we have no one to turn to either. I guess since China is holding all our debts along with Japan, they made the suggestion to "get with it" and do something yesterday. I hope we don't have them marching over here...sounds like they might own an big chunk of the USA these days. While they have been handing out money to the elite the last 15 years...they never did and thing to spur new jobs and businesses...except one...computers. It doesn't solve the needs of everyone that needs some kind of income. Neither does the car industry. OIl wells. Schools and education. Nor the entertainment Industry either. Let's face it...we are an divserified country with diversified needs. I think they should start opening up the mega warehouses to grow food, and might possibly have to give some of it away for free here soon.Same for heating needs and medical needs. We have more money going out.... then we have an balance in it coming back. |

By the way I miss the days when we could have an open fire there is something very comforting, sitting round the fireside when the wind is howling outside, driving the rain or snow against the windows, living in an apartment we have an electric heater with the flame effect, the flickering flame its not the same and no substitute for the open fire. Lets hope your politicians sort the problem out soon.

Hope everyone is OK, must dash we are meeting friends for a meal - not at Rick Steins, though I have found somewhere more expensive than him, Cod with raisin yogurt sauce (sounds awful to me) £29 per portion and thats without any veg etc
