Good afternoon everyone, the world has vanished into a thick fog here today Frown

Hi Shirley, no I've never tried drying apple rings, problem is I don't have a sweet tooth, so there is never any cake baking here, nor are there any biscuits, chocolate, ice cream or much of anything sweet in the house. The children were all at school before they realised that there were drinks other than milk and water, and that there were things in the world called sweets. It does sound like a good idea though I'll pass it on to a friend who loves making cakes and see if they have ever tried it and I'll let you knowSmile

Hello all,

Just a quick note while I can sit up,

Tuesday morning I went to my doctor foe a small ache below my belly button. After a few tests, I was sent to another doctor in Denver for a cat scan, after the test I was told I needed emergency appendectomy(I don't thin I spelled it right) surgery, and went straight to Hospital. There they also found a hernia below the belly button and said that would be taken care of as well.I am just now today able to sit up for a bit, yet, now I feel the need to lie down and watch the snow fall.

Will be back when I am me old self,,,,

Thinking of you all.....

All the best Richard, sounds like you're having a painful time. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. At least you can't go out snow shovelling.

Nice to see you too, Peggy.  Well, despite fervent prayers and finger-crossing, it rained all last week, although on the day, it did ease up a bit and was just mostly gray and cloudy.  But, that didn't deter us from having a beautiful wedding ceremony and fun reception party.  I was at a local lavender farm the morning of the wedding picking up some fresh-cut lavender for the pew ornaments in the church.  It smelled divine!  Other than the lack of sunshine, I couldn't be more pleased with how things turned out.  My daughter and son-in-law thoroughly enjoyed their special day, and I do believe a grand time was had by all.  Now, I'm just a bit tired.  :-)
