Good afternoon everyone Smile

Arrived safely in a not so sunny Germany, had a good flight, the 40 mile journey to Manchester Airport on the M62 this morning was the worst part of the trip, queue after queue. We were longer on the motorway than we were in the air.

The moors looked beautiful this morning with the thick frost and the sun, sadly I didn't really have time to stop and take photos. There was a covering of snow but the gritters had done their work on the roads.

Hope everyone is OK  Smile

How long will you be in Germany Ruth?...plan on bringing them back to your house for "Christmas"...being the family an all.

Good morning everyone...taking an break from working on the kichen.....still decorating, painting and re-organizing...will be at it through the Holidays and thereafter for an bit. I probably have the only kitchen with men's "mustash" symbols on the top of my microwave oven...like an French chef...but I had an symbol of the microwave manufacturer...we installed up there that stood out like an sore sthumb...so up went four different types of men's mustashes in small refrigerator magnets, where I can insert receipes between them if I want...plus I have the statue of the little French chef on the counter, with his arms full of French bread and wines..and the rest of it on the counter is appliances and spices and cooking sauces. Here in time Ruth can give me some Cod fish receipes to try out maybe..

I am looking at my kitty cat, whose always near me, he has his front end on top of an book, and his chin resting on the window sill and his tail wrapped nicely around his legs to keep warm as he looks outside.  Busy street out there this morning. Better get going and get back to it all. Talk later on...Have an good day!

We're here for a week Shirley, no family Christmas this year, Matthew is working,  he's a saturation diver and he'll be in a tank out at sea off Saudi Arabia from 16th December until the end of January.

Youngest daughter, her boyfriend and our grandson are going to the Cape Verdi Islands for Christmas. We will still have eldest daughter, granddaughter and youngest son on Christmas Day, so we'll still be quite busy. It's becoming more and more difficult to get them all together these days.

James I can't even remember the last time we had all four of ours with us on Christmas Day, it must have been at least 10 years ago. We've gained partners, girlfriends, boyfriends, wives and grandchildren, and another grandchild on the way, but getting them all in the same room at the same time is virtually impossible.
