What are E numbers?....never heard of them before. I hauled off food to the kid's house today...countdown time for sissy's operation, and with Thanksgiving wanted something the kids could eat by only using the microwave oven.  I left her with an pan of cinnamon rolls to bake though...along with some burrito's I made to finsish off also. Rest is finger stuff...like Christmas cookies, yogurt, fresh veggie tray, pumokin pie and whip cream, jo-jo potatoes, chicken tenders to cook,  they will also maybe be getting some fresh fruit here soon also. Then they can feed themselves pretty much while everyone is running around busy. Ski resorts opened up, but they could use another layering of snow up at Mt. Hood before Thanksgiving Day...not forecasted to get much though. I'll be making an big pan of spaghetti to take out there also here pretty soon, if not tomarrow.

Hubby helped me consideratble today...we got the new kitchen curtain hung and the old one taken down and out... so now we can sit on things for an bit maybe. Looks better for the Holidays at any rate. People are now starting to put up Christmas lights.

E numbers are the additives they put in processed food Shirley, like colourings. MSG which is used a lot in Chinese food for flavouring is and example of one. I try to avoid them where ever possible, but it's not so easy in this part of Germany.

Have a good day everyone, we are just about to set off to the wildlife park Smile

Afternoon James, have a nice time in Cornwall, hope the weather is kind. We've never stayed in Newquay so I don't really know what's local apart from RNAS Culdrose which has a nice viewing area and cafe.

Culdrose is a bit of a trek from Newquay as it is at Helston down by the Lizard penninsular, half way across Kernow , depends James , are you driving or are you going by coach/train James?  Makes a big difference if you have a car when you are down there or will be relying on public transport .  Will have a quick think.

I never thought Vince, I remember James said he is going by coach, so Culdrose will be a trek without a car. We've got used to getting in the car and driving all over Cornwall. I forget it's not always so easy, especially if you have to rely on public transport which in some areas is not too good.

Newquay is not somewhere I have been to since I was eight, for a long time it did have such a reputation for all the young and lots of drinking, however there have been great efforts to counteract this and I believe to great success. Besides at this time of year should not be a problem anyway. I know there is a zoo and a sealife centre but who knows what is open in November, there is a rail link which crosses North to South and just the journey could let one see the countryside ( it goes through clay country towards the south ). A steam railway runs from Bodmin and there is a regimental museum in Bodmin as well ( D.C.L.I ) and if you can a journey over Bodmin Moor would be interesting.

A couple of ideas but when you get there you can always pick up leaflets and see what takes your fancy.

Whatever James, have a great time sir.

Just as a matter of interest James, where are your included excursions to ?

If one is to Padstow and the weather is bad The National Lobster Hatchery is cheap, quite interesting and dry Smile it's also near the coach park.
