As you know we're in Germany visiting our eldest and his wife, they are expecting their first baby in March. I've just had a call from England, youngest daughter is expecting another baby in July next year. That will be 4 in all Surprised

Whoa Richard...stay and talk some more...you don' t really want to have to sharpen the shovel....see if you had an sand box, you could thrust the blade into that and it would keep itself sharpened...besides didn't I read you just got out of surgery. We have our first cold snap incoming tonight...I put my fuzzy wooly blanket on the sofa, then another on the back of the recliner chair, and turned on my electric blanket so it can warm up the whole mattress before I have to jump into it. But often I fall asleep on the sofa and it's near the fireplace. Which has an heatorlator built into the fireplace and I use an grate under the fire that warms up more tubing that blows warm air out the front of the hearth. Plus we have an wood stove downstairs and we all know that heat rises...in this case all the way upstairs.

I bought my Christmas Toys today for the kid's toy drive...if was really hard this year...things are expensive..but worthless also.  I ended up with an completely filled little golf bag cart (push type when they aren' tplaying golf) for an little boy....and play dough with different attachments to make stars, noodles, all kinds of shapes for an little girl in many different colors of play dough...plus  each got the same DVD...it's says it includes 7 mini-movies...from other recent movie characters at the theaters...called.. Home Make-over...Orientation Day...Banana...Phil's Dance Party...Wagon HO!...Serenade and the Forces of Nature....so I attach the DVD's to the gifts and can take them to the pick up location here in town.

Took out the obituary to my sister in-law's  (Louise) funeral to Lorraine today also, and added an matching blender to my brother and his wife's wine rack and bar. She can make her own berry freezes to sip on now. bought the remainer in clothes for the grandsons..Pj's, shirt and sweatshirt each....and one game of finger "Star Wars" wrestling with two little lasers that go on the finger and then through these holes for finger fighting. Shall we see who can win? It was an bit different for an small toy, but looked  like fun to me. They already do this kind of sort with school pencils from time to time anyway. Prince William and Prince Harry would understand...it's an game for the guys. Finished it all off with an 64 ounce of Milk and Honey bubble bath for me. Done shopping for today.

Ruth...you better take up knitting if you don' t do it already...four grandkids...WOW! Last baby gift I bought of significance was for the little gal I raised off and on...kasey...her mom bought an bed unit with an top bunk, and gave her an baby crib for new borns that could be used for an play pen also...and I gave her the matching rocking chair and an set of "Oak" dresser drawers I had....and all kinds of clothes...but she was young..... and we didn't know where she'd be living in the future back then. Kids these days don' t always marry either...many of them break up after not to long either.  She started out living with her mother though back then. Most the kids over here do these days for economic reasons.

X-Factor comes on pretty soon, so better let going..later...talk later on.

Shirley, there's no way on earth I'll be taking up knitting, it's not for me, I don't sew either Smile

Just setting off out for the afternoon, we're on the same time zone as Neil now so we're an hour ahead of the UK. Have a good day everyone Smile

Evening everyone Smile

Had a good day here having an explore around the area, weather is being kind to us for a change, cold but sunny, last time we came in November there was 6 inches of snow.

Obviously I can't post my photos here but I'm getting some quite interesting ones.

Good morning everyone...OK..afternoon it is.  I heard last night that Sylvia Browne reknown "psychic" passed on...77 years old. Surprise to everyone I think...mentioned it on "coasttocoast" last night in their latest news segament. As they say...so much for "Wintston church-hill" in these parts I guess. Someone should also tell Prince Henry if he's doing this Antartica thingy here soon that there's another edge of the glacier going to break off they think...be extremely careful.  Some people think such an event was the start of the great flood in the bible...or greatly added to it's effect world-wide. Plus there's an rising island today off Japan. An volcano, it finally had enough eruptions it made it above seal level, toward the southern end of Japan. Kind of an lazy day here in ways, sunny but to cold to venture out much today....so am taking things easy for the most part and watching shows on TV, both HGTV and the Food Network, cooking. It was said on tv that doctors receommend at least 2 hours of movement or excerise evey day. Have you done yours today?

Hi to all POEsters...

22nd November. A day to reflect...JFK assassinated, C S Lewis died, as did Aldous Huxley.

I wonder would the world have been a different place had this event not happened?
