That's sounds very nice James, I'm sure I saw some when we were in the Whisky Shop in Oban. That was before we came out with a bottle of 21 year old Jura which cost £85 - we just look at it Smile

Talking about expensive whisky my wifes cousin bought 2 bottles a few years ago while on holiday in Scotland paying around the £80 mark he had them on show and said they were for his funeral reception --when he died 4 years ago true enough the Whisky came out and each family mourner had a glass ---he didnt know what he had missedSmileso true.

I'll be sampling a drop of Aberlour, Xmas pressie from mother. Jura is very nice as a basic 10 yr old so I shudder to think what 21 yr tastes like. And as the yoursJames, Auchentoshan is one of the lowland whisky's from around the Clyde but is also very tasty.

We sampled it (along with several others I might add) before we bought it Dave, it is lovely. We just never thought to ask the price before I got my card out at the till. After I'd scooped David up off the floor we very carefully wrapped it for the journey home Smile

One day we'll drink it, I'm not saving it for anyone's funeral Laughing

Cheers Smile

It's much nicer pulling a cork than unscrewing a cap.
