It's clouded over again here too, we've had our bit of sun, rain expected later |

There is one up for sale as from now, and there is an assured customer base, in fact folk come from all over the world to visit. It has rooms to take in visitors ( if they dare- it also has quite a number of ghosts). I have stayed there in the past but did not see any apperitions but that does not mean we got away with it as the thought of them did not help with kipping. Asking price is two million pounds - anyone interested- can anyone guess what pub? Another request, can anyone explain what is in the latest pic I have just uploaded- we are baffled? Cheers. Havent' seen Ruth and whose Ben Johnson anyway. About the only person I know these days in Portland is the Mayor.."Charles"...he looks so much like my grandfather did when he was alive. It's finally raining here...LA is screaming for rain also. While Brazil has thier houses near an river going down into sink holes. They are saying maybe 6 to 12 inches snow twice this next few days up at Mt. Hood. Much needed relief. Just light rain here.I did my ususal food run to my sister's house this morning. Hopfully her social security check will come in by the time she gets low again. Breakfast 24 frozen cinnamon rolls with icing to make with her coffee/oatmeal....lunch... soup...all kinds/ crackers and fresh and canned fruit, and dinner some meat and veggies, potatoes/noodles/rice and puddings and what not ....then the stables...oil for frying, canned milk, egg substitue product, salad dressing/mayo, fresh tomatoes, romaine lettace and an loaf of cheese... breads of all kinds made and yet to be made/ stevia sugar replacement ..only thing I didn't get her was margarine. Maybe Mary(neighbor) and her can share making dinners for an bit...as they have in the past. She looked so very pleased at it all. Which means she was truly grateful to get it all. In the meantime...they gave hubby some pinto beans at work..so I made an green pepper/ chili sauce /pinto bean/potato/green bean/carrots/onions stew with some sliced mild sweet Itailian sausage and an bit of some BBQ hickory smoked boneless ribbs in it in chunks...for an stew...some cornbread...and some apples needed used up in cinnamon for our dinner tonight. Kind of takes the chill off the rain going on outiside. The Pub sounds like an good deal for someone...we have ahd so many places close down for lack of jobs. It's kind of an catch all...no money gives no money one can't help the others needs. They never built the pub up in Sandy, even when the guy said he'd give the land for free..if someone would build on it. I think ofr the most of us we are getting tired at times of fast food...Mexican/McDonalds's and Bruger King and Wendy's/chinese/pizza...but they are national chains and pretty much the only thing surviving the economic times. They are also running 24 hours everyday of the year now. As for I guess what you'd call an pub over here...it is continually being robbed for cash. Kind of sad, no one has much of an place to hang out and talk with friends any more. My tea is getting cold, think I'll go an warm it some..so talk to you later. BTW...no one has thought of an German Food Fast Food restruant...one serves window side...sausage...with an bun or with sauerkraut...scalloped potoatoes...or beef strogranoff..apple struddel ...German potato salad..pickled beets salad...or crisp fresh veggies..German chocolate cake. I've already talked it over with some young felllas I worked with many years ago.I told them I thought if would go over well if anyone could dig up the cash to start it up..hit the small towns and big on the outskirts...western half the usa and up north more so in the mid-west. Thing is finding an way to be cost effective also....like making your own sausage maybe?....I go for now.
