Yes, I am aware of my cache. Tony tells me that this problem I'm having is something incoming to my house/laptop...he suggested at one time when I have the problem to not use the particualr plug in I do..move it to an different one in the house. I used "goggle" search engine the other day and now can't remove it either..I can't close it out.. It's about the time of the year he checks it over before I start my book writing also...so it woulnd't hurt to go an see him in ways. Don't understand this Shirley...Home Office put in an icon button? Is your Home office the same as our Home office, I suspect not? |

I would be deeply suspect of anyone who say they can gain access to your computer to do anything. My suggestion would be get rid of them, even if it means backing up your entire hard drive and restoring to factory settings. My friend in Cornwall had a problem with her Toshiba laptop. She rang some computer chap who advertised in the local newspaper, he took the laptop away for 5 days (what took so long goodness knows) when he brought it back he told her that he'd installed a program whereby he could gain remote access to he computer from his own computer to see if everything was running OK. Horrified her daughter rang me, not knowing whether this claim was true or not. We were due to go down to stay with them two weeks later, the first thing I did when we got there was find this program and remove it. Not being an expert with Windows I was still concerned that it might be lurking somewhere, so I ordered an external hard drive from Amazon, it arrived 3 days later. I backed up everything and wiped the whole system back to a factory restore. It was a pain having to restore everything but at least we were then sure that the offending program had gone. |
