Afternoon James, I'm cooking again Frown But on the bright side all the shopping is done apart from the veg. I hate shopping at the best of times, but supermarkets near Christmas are a big no no.

Try the above link Peggy, I followed the route Dave suggested Smile

I've checked and the link takes you straight to the download page. Uninstall the one that you've already downloaded before you download this one.

Hi Ruth, with all your technical knowledge you would not be able to sort my laptop out but I bet you would like to have a go lol

It is a Vista home premium, I use firefox and yahoo home page, but now I have numerous home pages continually changing with adverts and videos filling the screen,  I managed to get on poe but there was a block covering where I needed to log in, but I clicked on good day and the text was too small to read,  I did something else where I needed to click on OK at bottom of page but the OK was covered up,  I did the ccleaner, checked it, but what came up was I had won something from Boots, it will not let me do anything, I would not know where to find my mail,  when  I managed to get google as soon as I started to type it dissapeared, but I am going to ring the shop because they may be on holiday after xmas. Good job I have a tablet

Good grief Peggy that's sounds like a mess, I hated Windows Vista with a passion when David had it on his old laptop. I did several factory resets and it still played up. Then it stopped connecting to the internet, I tried another factory reset, by this time it had decided I was not the administrator, which I was. So I did the only other thing I could think of, I removed the hard drive and put an axe through it. He uses an iPad now and for 2 years life has be trouble free.

The first time it started playing up I took it to a computer shop and they charged us to do a factory reset, which I though was a bit off because you can do them yourself for free. But you do lose everything, so if you go down that road back up your stuff first.

Vista was the worst ever OS Microsoft ever created. I don't know anyone who used it without problems. I still use XP but will need to change sometime this year. Internet browser is Firefox and I have GOOGLE as my home page. Very few problems other than related to age of PC and OS. Ruth uis quite right about resetting yourself if you feel brave enough as you do lose everything. So need to backup anything important onto some safe storage.

Ron, I know, took the grandson' s out last night to eat.. one of them had pancakes made into an reindeer...but you know what...they are phasing out the old kind of light bulbs Dec. 14th...foe my dimmer light switch to work it needs the old kind of bulbs...I wish we had an choice availableas to what we wanted to buy instead of what they want to make us buy..which always costs an fortune in changing the ceiling light. Without being able to dim the celing light my atmosphere in lighting table candles goes down to " zero"  for special effect dinners at my house. In short other bulbs are to blary looking and brighten up the dining roon to much...nice for building puzzles but nothing else that I can think of.

Getting ready to take the grandson back to his house...though his father worked last night and needs his sleep today...but going to the Oregon Garden Christmas lights tonight with my sister and hubby and then tomarrow the movie "Hobbit" with my grandson.I'm just about there...in doing an little something with them all...hope to take sissy out to dinner sometime next week after her ear checkup also.law some place also to eat  or give them an gift certficate for Sherri's to eat breakfast...and then I can say we have done something with each and everyone of them for Christmas. Yes, it is really creeping up on us time wise for Santa to arrive. I might pop out singing "We wish you an Merry Christmas"any ole time now.
