If he does wipe the hard drive it will come back to you like a new machine out of the box and you'll have a fresh start. You'll probably be still stuck Windows Vista though, unless he can upgrade you to Windows 7 which was the next one in the sequence. Edited by: rustyruth at:17th December 2013 20:22 |

Particualry old cemetaries...to preserve the information. Then if some later date family comes in an wants to change the headstone, they can without losing the original integrity of the grave site. But yes, vandels really work them over these days...contruction builders work them over with their machinery in hopes to get the owner to sell the ground to build another house also. Our historical cemetary was given to the mayor to take over and he let cattle graze there...and they broke down many of the stones. Many of those families that had someone buried there dug them up and left...some of our family just made one huge cement slap over their graves. Some of the graves have sunk down into the ground also now, and twas said that there were some people buried in it that died of smallpox at one time, were buried late at night privately...don' t know if that got released or not..I am the re.incarnation of my fourth generation grandfather buried out there. I get intutive feelings when out there as to where the house sat at one time...the surrounding area...but I don' t generally tell others that information. Some people say how wise an person I was back then, and others say I was dumb and was lucky to be alive, but they now call one of the other relatives, quite famous, an murdered in his earlier years...and we had to track down the true story...which turned out ot be an interesting one. I really don' t like the tow as it is today...so don' tgo out there much any more. They are like little Red Riding Hoods crying wolf for someone else to come and save them, when they want to only but devore the goodie basket all by themselves. My dad's comment one time...let the dead bury the dead. As I said, I'd need DNA proof my ancestor is really buried there these days. She best get to working on her computer before Christmas when all the new stuff comes out and the computer shops are swamped with people. Not many days left now. This last couple of days has been a tough one for me physically...esp with third eye headaches. This morning I woke up to ringing ears which I went an bought some tinitunnis medication for, but it's still just an loud constant ringing away even now. I thought about going into emergency but really can't afford it and they'd probably tell me to do the same thing...buy the expensive medication. I go for now..maybe staying off the sweets will help some..though didn't think Id consumed all that many. Also brought on an stiff neck...and could use some message. Talk to everyone later on. Need some down time and have the grandson's to babysit tomarrow...so siisy can get her ears unpacked tomarrow up at OSHU..just going there is like an all day trip..and it is so huge...and covers so much ground...the whole top of an hill and down inside of it with the Veteran's hospital next to it, plus Dornbecker's children's hospital..covers blocks an blocks of hospitals and parking lots. So much.. to now it's got it's own tram way at the bottom of the hill and comes out inisde one wing of the hosptial on top.

I'll try to get over there tomarrow some time. Grandson comes over the next day...but I have to be out to thier house to pick them up unless thier dad is there....sleeping from working an night shift. Today seemed more like the "spirit" of christms to me, over in Josephine County...east side of Oregon...country folks with not much money some guy showed up at the various stores...giving people atrandom $100 bills if not paying it to the stores ..we got to watch the grandma's crying in gratitude and the younger mothers also. So veryvery grateful for the help this year. toy donations are wrapping up as they get ready to deliver them also. I did that this year and I have but one neighbor left for an small gift of some kind and a Christmas card. She might end up with cranberry orange bread and wild blueberry muffins with jars of seville Orange, Raspberry, and Blueberry preserves. Seems so simple.. and yet if no one has won it yet, there was an 500 million dollar "mega Bucks" lottery drawing tonight. To get that high an winnings they had to sell 700 million lottery tickets...and only one can win for the most part. I'd do that if I won an big lottery like that...I'd pay off my debts and maybe find someway to share it with others. The fella handing out the $100 bills is making an difference in the lives of many people that really need it right now...and doing that IS the spirit of Christmas and the faith in God for many of us..when hard times are here....that sharing of other good people in love and kindness...with no strings attached. I guess I get going for tonight and listen to the radio some. Be up early to go to the store and look for garlic begal chips for the snack mix. |
