Sounds quite serious Peggy. If it does come back with a factory reset at least you have your pictures saved. They are the most important as most other stuff is replaceable. Hopefully you'll get it back soon.

When it comes back Peggy an External Hard Drive might be a good investment, you can pick one up for around £35 on Amazon. That way you can back up everything to it and should your laptop throw a wobbly in the future you have everything saved to put back on.

I have everything backed up to one, plus a lot of document scans, like birth certificates, passports, driving licences etc I also back up to Dropbox. Our 4 offspring are always losing stuff so I keep copies of everything of importance.

Just a thought Smile

Good morning everyone..have an good time James. I don' t put anything important into my computer..never have...even my book work..it's placed on an separate disc after I get done writing, plus I have an handwritten copy of the information also. We have "London fog" today for our weather. Brother should be into surgery by now. I have an few cookies left to make to do up the remaining dough...I'd love to send them to you all...I am "cookied out" right now.  Last of the cream cheese with jam filling in them/chopped nuts and I'm done. Taking life easy today..but still better get going for now. Talk later on.

Good evening James, happy to hear you had a good afternoon, though I don't think that was ever in doubt really. Funny how different people remember different snippets of one event. It's only when you all get together that the full picture emerges.

How times change, in 50's and 60's over the hill was considered miles away, when I was at secondary school all the children were from the local area, now the students are bused in from places I'd never heard of back in the 70's.

So what's an person do when they "drop thier feet"..quit looking elsewhere for an companion?  I went tonight to see my brother at the hosptial...he was so out of it, he was falling alseep trying to eat his dinner...wired from head to toe practically also. Wifey and an freind there, hope he snaps back better by tomarrow and there adterward.

I came upon the local car wash...6 washes for $29...that's about half price...so each of my guys are getting 6 coupons for 6  free car washes...about an 50 per cent savings. This Little stocking  stuffer will cost me about $87 next month of my check..but I hate to see them out there in the cold of winter...or the rain.... trying to keep the car looking decent...two of us have white colored cars. I've done half my immediate neighbors for Christmas and will finish the rest tomarrow hopefully...Ihave some of the old time  snack party mix to make though before then..... then I can say that "Christmas" is done for around my house this season.

Talking about seeing old friends for me is seeing those kids my son use to run around with and the Scouts of back then, now all married with kids in high school. But even seeing his truck driving friends these days is getting hard to do at times. They got laid off and went into other jobs. Nice to see them though and know what they are up to. They have been an tremedous help to me in prior years...things like getting me free firewood at cost of the gasoline only. We are now into year two using it.  i guess I had better get going..look into making the snack party mix with cereal...this time I cut out the receipe too!..it's hard to find those old time receipes sometimes...now they are from the 50s and 60's.. Another reason I like buying th eold time cookbooks. Have an good evening.
