Well, we were thankful for an half way decent day for the Memorial Day Ceremonies...it was an very good program that I didn't at times not see people wiping the tears out of their eyes....there are 158,000 people buried now in Willamette National Cemetary...along with my mother and so many friends and class mates now.  He said in all that there are 365,000 Oregon Veterans, representing seven wars and four generations.  The Gold Star mothers and wives posted two wreaths of thier own...they had an WWII vet post an flag, with his daughter helping him carry the flag....four gospel singers...Singing it's an "Grand OLd Flag"...my grandson singing with his school, the high school playing the athems off all the different miltary forces.. fly over of airplanes, cannons shooting off instead of an rifle tribute...the Fort Vancouver Scottish Band....two prayers...one for the servicemen ...another for our country...."Amazing Grace" was played, presentation of the colors, and dismissal of the Assembly...and several speakers, but they kept the speeches short and to the point.  I saw in this crowd the most tears expressed when it came to an new hope of Americans...for an country to survive and under God, with the things and ideals we use to have that made us better people over all in the world.. All the states were represented also in flags. The so called "common people" are not the rich in this country...nor the bankers...and they have generations before them that helped to defend this nation and make it worthy to live in...they are the ones with the tears for "God" to show us the way.

I am painting Ms froggy....she's green again, her two piece bikini is blue again, her lips ruby red, and just an few touches and she's finished....the fountain out back is running....and I've the paint for the mother dear and fawn..so will do her next and tuck back into the cove she sits by ferns and pine trees, so she looks natural.

I'm feeling an bit better...my stomach again hurt this morning, but we were able to find mother and place red/white and blue flowers from my yard here, bouquet I made her....grandaughter stayed last night..so she helped me with that.  Sissy asked me why I was up on the computer at 2 am....I was listening to the radio...they said in the Mts. west of Denver...an four mile slide came down the valley...twomiles wide 250 feet deep....it killed 3 people....only thier daughter surived after her father threw himself in front of her. Leslie lives up above Denver, so I was asking her to check in and tell us she was "OK". They say this was caused by "Spring snow melt" and rain in the area recently. I go for now..have dinner to make for everyone. Have an good evening.

Hi Richard, nice to see you. I'm ashamed to say we only live a few miles from Holmfirth but we very rarely go there. When we do, there will be pictures Smile
