Pylons are a big nuisance round here but it is possible to hide them behind something if you mess around a bit. |

They say to close the account...don't deal with them...I'd like to sue them for female discrimantion is what I'd like to do. They changed my credit card over to my hubby's name instead of mine, they never got permission from me to do that...the whole reason for the card was so if anything happened to him I'd have credit..esp to borrow for medical reasons myself. Well, I can't do that now if it's in his name. He already has an credit card that borrows against our house..which I don' t have. Our bank carries insurance on the house to cover it... if anything happens to him. I watched my girlfriend in her divorce, the house her 1st hubby had left her when he died....she still owned...well her new husband built her another house to live in..things didn't work out..they divorced...in her original house which she rented out..the furnace went out...with her recent divorce she couldn't even get the credit to replace the furnace....because they said she had not establish and kept up her own credit line ....and that house had never been under her new husband. As it was he was kind enough to step in and help her...but she was mad as an hornet...and that's what they did..with no credit..she eventually was forced to sell it dirt cheap....and it's sittting on the corner now looking "dirt cheap" also. No one touches it because it was wrong...the whole thing they put her through... and everyone knew it town also. This is like my brother...he makes all his wives pay their own way...and then wonders why he's on his fourth wife right now...divorcing her. His last one let him have the love seat she was throwing out to the thrift store...and his clothes. You can't blame her exactly. When the only time someone can talk to you is for their own enhancement...you get kind of tired of it. He has an sure fire cure-all to everything...go to the Govt. and get on some monthly assistence...it don't work like that unless you get bound for life most the time...like an prison sentence or some such. Anyway, when it rains tonight, I'd wish it would dissolve all the problems along with it. I'm now watching them work over an single lady finally scrapped enough money to buy her own house in her lifetime...she's not young. They told her she needed an new septic tank..and it would cost her $7,000 and she's wondering how she's going to scrap up the money for it...this is in North Carolina. We single women seem to need an bank that can help us and not just themselves. I see the day when anything "fair" should be based on your income...gross income. Texas already has an law that no one can touch the original house of the owner..or one transporation vehicle for any debts incurred...by way of emergency needs indebtness. They can go after mulpile properties/other ATV's or RV's or transportation cars though. They talk about the homeless and street people, well taking everyhting they have is why they are on the streets as "homeless". This thing though of not recognizing womens right to own an credit cared these days.... really leaves them in an bind..and esp when they have kids to raise. I think they have liberated the single working women...but not the married ones on an equal basis when it comes to equality of credit perhaps. I haven't made an lot of money but every dime I earned..went to my hubby...as part of the "family" unit just the same. It paid the price of this house...it paid for an new truck and camper...and an host of other things as well. I didn't just stick it in my pocket... so he'd have to pay expenses for everything. I go for now. |

I doubt anybody has challenged it yet in the US and it would not be tolerated here now, especially after the bad press they have had over the past 5 years or more! I think you need to speak up, get the people behind you. Sign up to petitions and show the banks that you are not going to accept it. I can think of several legal implications here. You need to challenge it now, after all you won't be any worse off will you? Hi to all POEsters...

Hubby took me out this morning for an outting to the Tulip Farm...had an really nice time, looked over the vendors, crafts, food booths...listened to an harpist, looked over the huge tubs of tulips, the acres and acres of them also.. rode around on an little like tram so I didn't have to walk it much..not to hot..not to cold...occasional sun breaks....they charged $5 an person or $20 an car...that lady was holding an stack of $20 bills in her hand in na big bundle, she was one of four people, in an four car lane of people getting in there today ...they easily had over 2,000 people there. Flowers were just goregous also. They also had antique tractors and an car there...car I bet they built from hand....an small live music band...radio show going on...and wines all over, play area and food galore. Lot of it covered areas also..out of the weather if it rained. Even the trams had covers over them also. I'd say everyone had an good time, I didn't hear the little kids crying, the parents angry, they kept an JOhn Deere trailer behind the driver for carrying packages or walkers for the old folks. One little girl showe dme her little purple balloon poddle doggie....Hay rides also....nice day Ron..wish I could have more of them. |

I'm not sure if this helps us or hurts us in ways. That is about how much I owe on my credit card for raising my grandkids the last 20 years...really from the kid's getting married to having their kids. What does an parent do when he gets an job, gets in 6 months senority to get benefit packages and suddenly finds himself laid off work..long enough hehas to get other employment and start again from the bottom up. You want your kids starving and going without?,,,I don't. They suffer to much as it is growing up in the world...thanks to others. |
