Picture by kevin Sinclair It's St Giles Church in Matlock, Derbyshire. Back in 1977, I was a student at Matlock College of Education (training to be a teacher) and the church is in my head for two reasons. 1. It was famous because it was used as a location in the film Women in Love ... but the main reason I remember it is: 2. I once spent a couple of hours in that churchyard on a warm summer's night (far too many years ago) talking to an old friend who is no longer a friend. How about you? Any special pics? |

I've got many cherished memories from walking these spectacular hills. From being knee high to a grasshopper walking along them with my Dad, to teen years when me and a friend would climb them at night to lay back and stare at the millions of stars and wonder at the universe. Then in later years, taking a very gentle stroll up them with Sarah when she was expecting our first child. The Malverns are a very special place to me for many reasons, and whenever I see a picture of them on this site, the memories come flooding back and so does the incredible urge to visit them again.

Tewkesbury Abbey where Sarah and I got married. A very special day in a very special place. The Abbey, since i was a small child, has had special significance to me, and my mum and family still live within its shadow today.

Wonderful part of the world. I got married in Bakewell, and afterwards we all got disgustingly drunk at The Peacock!

Usually covered in cloud or rain, but I love waking up in the morning and looking out the window, and seing MOUNTAINS. Not just the houses across the road. |

Obviously none of my England pictures generated any memories, in fact, I don't think I thought about America once the whole time we were over there (2 whole weeks, lol). But when I look at the pics I took while we were there, I can relive the trip. It was wonderful! |

Pictures of holiday places where I have had such good times with my family are high on the list but I have picked this one I took at Haden Hill Park because I spent nearly every day as a child and a youth in that park and it is still a lovely magical place surrounded by houses and factories and a great escape for people who live around it.
