It's dry though - relative humidity about 5%.

I'm not surprised; Britain's highest temperature has been 101.7F; the figure to beat for any new records that might be set if it can creep up there again.

After a hot day, you'd think the only beach in England is at Bournemouth as when our national press do a story on the weather, Bournemouth beach is the only beach they ever seem to show.

We have sunshine and blue skies, finally.

Still have the ever present winds though. Can't get rid of them here, trapped as we are in-between mountains.

A friend from over here is currently on vacation in Monument Valley and southern Utah national parks regions.  At least a bit cooler than Phoenix---but not a lot---and just as well he didn't decide to include Death Valley on his trip out of Las Vegas. When he gets back, I'll ask him if it was warm enough??? Smile

That's too bad, Paul, especially since there are some really nice ones not too far from Bournemouth, like Swanage or Christchurch.

Somehow I can't picture 101°F in England.  With the humidity there, it must have been horrendous.

Southern Utah is a bit higher elevation than here, but it probably will still be a might toasty.  Is he going to Zion and Bryce National Parks.  That's where we may be headed this year for vacation.

It's supposed to cool back down into the 90s by the weekend.  So a little (temporary) relief's in sight.

Wow, no rain for 3 weeks? Is that a record?

Hope you don't end up in a drought, Ron.  Do they ever have droughts in England?

He did indeed Ruth and of the two, I thought Zion looked the nicest, though the unusual rock formations of Bryce aren't to be missed neither; nor is Monument Valley at sunrise, and Antelope Canyon around noon.
