The sky is still too light at the moment, but in an hours time, if they look to the north, they should be able to see the McNaught R1 comet |

So I'm hoping for a nice sunrise in about 4 hours time. |

Took my Canon Sue, and took a photo of the Nature Discovery Centre in Thatcham this morning instead, and is currently on BBC Radio Berkshire's Home page. I was asked to be on their radio station on Tues morning, but work unfortunately prohibited my dulcet tones across the air waves of Berkshire and neighbouring counties. |

Sadly we don't get rain, and that means fire. I know some firefighters who will be happy, but they about the only ones. How are the fires your way, Ruth? I know you have just as bad a fire season as we do. Other than that, I temps have been in the high 90's, hitting 100 today. |

One burned just east of Flagstaff and totally deforested the entire side of a mountain. And now, the neighborhood at the foot of the mountain is suffering the effects of flash flooding and landslides. We've had a very wet monsoon the last two weeks, 2 inches of rain last weekend alone, and it's raining here as I type this. Hopefully it will stay cloudy and keep us cool today, only in the low 100s or high 90s . Get ready for hot and humid in NYC. |

It poured down all day, but I guess we shouldn't complain because the lawns are brown. However, whilst the grass stops growing, amazingly the weeds carry on big time! Temperature about 20/22 degree's. |
