I have my "Lab" tests from the Cardiologists on June 31st and from taking the "niaspan"...which I go off then, so I will let you know later on how that goes also, in LDL (bad cholestrol), HDL (good cholestrol), tryglcerides, and total cholestrol, and my weight and anything else they come up with...pulse, blood pressure etc. Then I also have to see if I can afford to join "curves" or not. I don't think I can unless I can drop one of these expenisve medications perhaps...get the money to join. I wsh for us that have "health issues" stuff like this were at least deductible for our health...it would greatly help.  We spend about $100 an month after insurance in prescriptions costs as it is. Now they know why my credit card debt is so high...not to mention blood pressure machines are not cheap to buy either. Weight Scales. Etc.

Good luck with your tests Shirley. We'll be glad to hear that everything is okay. Smile

Well, if some day I 'm not in here, you'll know why..then you can say..well, finallly...all those long posts are gone! You know I had set in front of me an whole cookie sheet of chocolate chip cookies the other day, and an half sheet birthday cake also. I was better, but I couldn't pass the cake up quite yet, didn't eat as much of it as I would of generally though. I hope none of you ever have to put up with what I am now..I really mean that, it "sucks", it's like being dead even if you are alive at times...and then you wonder for how long somedays. You feel like an research Lab with every "test" your made to take. You always can't do this or that because of being forced to do something for your health in order to be "pain" free. Keep your weight down while your young, it's not near as hard to lose it and keep it off then. You can take my word on that one.

I actually enjoy reading through your 'long' posts. I don't comment very often, but you do raise a fair argument most times with a view on life to share with others to learn from. keep 'em coming I say!

I agree with Ron, Shirley; you are a valuable member of this family and I for one would be heart broken to see you leave.

Let's just post them here, after all, that's part of what this thread is about, and you don't have to be on a low carb diet to enjoy some of the recipes. Laughing

My challenge has been trying to find carb friendly ways to make my favorite dishes. Maybe we can help each other with that too!
