Hey juju..how it goes these days for you...your in and out so quick we don't get to know much of what your up to...smiles*

I have my sister here tonight with me...we are going...all of us blackberry picking tomarrow morning in an nature type park near the river not far away. Just starting to come on good and they forcasted showers for next mid week. Picked so far from my garden this year one small zuchinni and about two bowls of berries...if I had to  depend on living off the land this year...I'd not do to well,,,and may not otherwise either. Start your pantries people. I'm getting to many people telling where they live isn't much better. I told my sister when

I called her that blackberries are $1.98 for 10ozs...she can have some for free if she'll pick them herself. Then she says...oh great blackberry pie....and I said...save it sis...people don't do berry pie any more, it's to expensive...they cut off strips on the end of flour tortillas and deep fry them an few mintues until they are crispy...then they take them out and sprinkle on sugar and cinnmon real lightly...and let them cool to be crispy...then they stack them up like an Hay Stack kind of... add "Stevia" sweetened berries and whip cream on top....no pie crust to roll out...and no lots of calories....and no baking. You can use any mix of fruit...fresh or frozen also. So I made her some while she watched. She liked it.  Her little bucket wouldn't yield but maybe one pie...my way she could probably have them most all winter long.mixed with fresh peaches...frozen raspberries and kiwi...etc.

I'm washing my clothes right now and gave her some of the last of the baby clothes I have around here and an pattern for her neighbor gal. An old one too!...but...it's for PJ's in two styles...with house robes or long gown. I told her to be "creative" and make the loose top into an plaid coat top and the pants into velvet for the bottom...the gown could be made with sparkled material floor length for the Holidays, with lace trim around the  wrist and band across the top part of the gown...then there's the terry cloth robe with an fuzzy blanket to match and flannel PJ's also. Any number of combination with this type of pattern that is either straight down or flared softly out. You get four or five different styles to mix or match and many kind of fabric choices and you have an whole wardrobe practically. that's probably why I still have the pattern...it was very versitle.

I found this for our guys that like to imbibe an few snorts now and then.....Baked Figs with Honey and Whiskey....toast 1/4 cup of hazelnuts and set aside ...400 degree oven for 5 mins...put in  towel and rub against each other to remove skins. Chop up..set aside and raise the oven up to 500 degrees ....combine 1/4 cup of honey and 1/4 cup of Scotch or other Whiskey, bring to an boil stirring in an pan, turn off heat. Cut 8 large figs in half lengthwise..place in an single layer in an gratin dish after spraying with butter cooking spray...drizzle with Scotch/honey mixutre, sprinkle with hazelnuts, and bake 7 to 10 mins until softened. Cool to warm on an plate, spoon pan juices over the figs, garnish with mint leaves in the middle. AS you can see, I'm playing "susie homeaker" today... so I better get back at it.... Oh..the figs makes 4 servings. Talk later on.

Ron, both are behind bars...another doctor...anthesilogist up the river in eastern Oregon has been sexually messing around with his patients...he's looking at jail time also....can you imagine going in for an Hysterectomy and ending up getting an "Hysterical Rectum"  instead out of it... from these "bogus" Doctors. Kind of funny.... but wouldn't want to be in the position at all in any way. Jail can have these dudes. Later...

Ha, ha I agree James. Shirley comes up with something different every day. Sometimes good, bad, funny but always worth a second read...

Keep em coming Shirley and well done!

Hi Shaun, good to see you.  Hope all is going well.  Lorry told me about bumping into you at the Zoo recently, and about your chat.  (So this is no wind up guys!!).  I shall see her on Tuesday so will tell her you said hello - I don't think she visits the forums very often.
